Abstract:
A cloud based system for vehicle maintenance to a target vehicle includes a cloud based on-site vehicle maintenance service. A GPS-based proximity module in a first server associated with the on-site vehicle maintenance service receives both current GPS coordinates of a service vehicle associated with a first maintenance and service provider and current GPS coordinates of the target vehicle of a customer. The current GPS coordinates are used for at least one maintenance and service delivery session with the target vehicle of the customer. The vehicle maintenance and service operation includes 1) directing the service vehicle to the target vehicle of the customer, 2) opening and/or unlocking the target vehicle of the customer, 3) ensuring the one or more vehicle maintenance and service jobs have been performed, and 4) ensuring the target vehicle of the customer is closed and locked.
Abstract:
A cloud based system for a package exchange with a vehicle service is discussed. The system can have servers having processors, ports, and databases and a security module running on the processors to receive a virtual key and one of a request for package exchange with a vehicle service, data, or both, from a package delivery vehicle. The virtual key has a first shelf life and is used for authentication of communications from the delivery vehicle. The security module can receive a security token having a second shelf life from a user. The security token is used for verification of the user and target vehicle. After the first authentication and in an overlap window of the two shelf lives, the security module can send the one or more commands to an on-board actuation module of the target vehicle to cause an electro-mechanical operation in the target vehicle.
Abstract:
A method to learn and then pair with a pre-installed access control system of a vehicle is discussed. Communication is exchanged between the access control system and a backend cloud-based system. Required data of the access control system including its particular authentication code is extracted by a learning device. A vehicle matching data is sent to the backend cloud-based system and the vehicle is registered with the backend cloud-based system. The learning device is registered to the access control system in accordance with learning procedures implemented in the vehicle as remote entry key. The learning device is coupled to a Radio Frequency signal transmitter that has Application-Specific Integrated Circuits to generate stable RF signals at multiple frequency wavelengths. Registration of learning device includes, receiving a first access control telegram message, transmitting the first access control telegram message to the access control system, pairing the learning device with the access control system.

Abstract:
A cloud-based package-exchange-service for package delivery to, and pick-up from, a target vehicle includes a GPS-based proximity module. The GPS-based proximity module receives current GPS coordinates of a package delivery vehicle and of the target vehicle. The GPS-based proximity module stores both GPS coordinates. The GPS-based proximity module monitors a distance between the package delivery vehicle and the target vehicle of the customer. The cloud-based system also has a delivery module in the first server associated with a second database. The delivery module includes one or more lists of local delivery services that include registered individuals to be assigned for package exchange operations. The lists of local delivery services also include package delivery restrictions and conditions including package size, hours of operation, distance to operate, and delivery prices.

Interpretive meta-instructions are used, at a connected vehicle access system (CVAS) device, to implement various RKE protocols by: receiving an RKE- protocol-specific meta-instruction that has been generated by a back-end server; generating an RKE] telegram based on the RKE-protocol-speciiic meta- instruction; and transmitting the RKE telegram to a vehicle. The meta- instruction may include: a device configuration that specifies a set of RF parameters of a CVAS -device transceiver; a template telegram that contains a first set of data fields with data values from the back-end server and that contains a second set of data fields for which data values will be generated and inserted at the CVAS device; and localization-processing commands containing instructions for modifying the second set of data fields of the template telegram.

An access and start authorization system comprises: a transceiver-and-code-generator module that is configured to be installed in a vehicle, wherein the transceiver-and-code-generator module includes: a Bluetooth transceiver configured to establish a Bluetooth connection with a smartphone; a code generator that is configured to: communicate a secret key to one or more vehicle electronic control units while learning the code generator to the vehicle, subsequently use the secret key to encrypt communications between the code generator and the vehicle, and not store in code-generator memory the secret key in unencrypted form thereby preventing unauthorized access, via the code generator, to the secret key by a person who has access to the vehicle.

A dongle module to be installed in a vehicle is discussed. The dongle module has memory buffers and processors. The dongle module also has a first transceiver that couples the on-board diagnostic (OBD) port of the vehicle to communicate with a fault and diagnostic module of the vehicle. A second transceiver uses wireless communications to communicate with one or more client devices. An RF transmitter transmits RF signals to Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module of the vehicle. A mapping module either include a first map calculating chip to calculate map coordinates of the vehicle, or periodically receive map coordinates from a client device. A security module is configured either to receive, or to implement an algorithm to determine, a rolling security key of the RKE module of the vehicle. The security module also receives commands to be transmitted by the RF transmitter to the RKE module to be executed.

A cloud based package transfer system is discussed that has a cloud based package-exchange-service hosted on a cloud based provider site. The cloud based package-exchange-service supplies servers and databases of retail websites with information regarding services for package exchange available to customers and their associated vehicles. The information enables a retail website to present a checkbox, the presented checkbox enables a customer at a checkout point of the purchase from the retail website to select an alternative package delivery option of delivering the purchased products to a target vehicle of the customer. The package-exchange-service receives purchase information from the retail websites and use purchase information to create database records for completed delivery operations. The package-exchange-service sets up the package delivery operation and implements a financial model that use the database records to calculate financial transactions between the package-exchange-service and the retail websites.
