Abstract:
A fabric article treating device (20) having a dispenser (25) adapted for location inside of a fabric article drying appliance and a removable reservoir (30) . The dispenser and reservoir are adapted for fluid communication with one another. The reservoir is configured to contain a benefit composition and to minimize leakage of the benefit composition during installation and removal of the removable reservoir. Corresponding male and female fitments (40,42) establish fluid communication between the dispenser and the reservoir. The male fitment (40) is adapted to pivot to aid in engaging the female fitment (42) .
Abstract:
An motorized stain-removal brush is provided. A method of using motorized stain-removal brush for cleaning inanimate surfaces is also provided. The motorized stain-removal brush includes a handle having a motor disposed therein, a head having a longitudinal axis, and a neck disposed between the handle and the head. Bristle holders are associated with the head. The motor is operatively connected to the bristle holder.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to detergent components or compositions having a bulk density of at least 700 g/l which comprises a nonionic surfactant system which includes at least one nonionic surfactant which is a liquid at temperatures below 40 DEG C, and from 0.5 % to 15 % by weight of the component or composition of a flow aid which is a premixed powder comprising sodium aluminosilicate and hydrophobic silica in the ratio of from 100:1 to 3:1. The invention also relates to a process for making such detergent components or compositions.
Abstract:
A fabric article treating device (20) having a dispenser (25), reservoir (30), fluid handling system (35), measuring device (40) and user interface (45). The dispenser and reservoir are adapted for fluid communication with one another. The reservoir is configured to contain a benefit composition. The measuring device communicates with the reservoir and/or fluid handling system to determine the amount of benefit composition remaining in the reservoir and activate a user signal on the user interface to inform the consumer with information relating to the amount of benefit composition in the reservoir.
Abstract:
A label (70) for marking a surface comprising: a) a support portion (77), b) a varnish (85) in at least partial contact with the support portion, c) a primer (90) in at least partial contact with the varnish, d) an ink (95) in at least partial contact with the primer, and" e) an optional adhesive (99) in at least partial contact with the ink, wherein the label is capable of being at least partially affixed to the surface by at least heating the label.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for applying indicia to a curved surface, including a compound curved surface having multiple axes of curvature. The curved surface is deformed to eliminate one axis of curvature. The invention is usable with hourglass or barrel shaped surfaces, as occur with containers, and to apply labels and other indicia to these surfaces.
Abstract:
A motorized stain-removal brush having a cleaning composition dispenser is provided. A method of using the motorized stain-removal brush for cleaning inanimate surfaces is also provided. The motorized stain-removal brush includes a handle having a motor disposed therein, a head having a longitudinal axis, and a neck disposed between the handle and the head. Bristle holders are associated with the head. The motor is operatively connected to the bristle holder.
Abstract:
A fabric article treating device (5) for dispensing benefit composition to a fabric article treating appliance. The device includes a housing (15) which contains a reservoir (20) , an energy harvesting system (70), an energy storing device (25), a fluid handling system (50) and a control unit (30). The reservoir contains a benefit composition. The control unit is adapted to control dispensing of benefit composition from the device utilizing the fluid handling system. The energy harvesting system is adapted to convert mechanical or thermal energy into electrical energy.
Abstract:
A fabric article treating system, including the apparatus and the process, to provide improved fabric cleaning, fabric appearance and/or fabric care benefits. More particularly, the present system provides an effective delivery of detergent actives and rinse actives by depositing the actives directly upon a fabric article being treated. The detergent composition and fabric care composition suitable for use in such apparatus and process are also provided. The system is water-saving and energy efficient, compared to conventional immersive aqueous laundry system
Abstract:
The invention concerns a concentrated liquid premix comprising polyhydroxy fatty acid amide of formula (I) where R is C5-C31 hydrocarbyl, preferably straight-chain C7-C19 alkyl or alkenyl, R1 is C1-C8, preferably C1-C4 hydrocarbyl, and Z is polyhydroxycarbyl having a linear hydrocarbyl chain with at least 2, preferably at least 3 hydroxyls directly connected to the chain, wherein the liquid premix further comprises from 1 % to 30 %, preferably from 5 % to 10 %, by weight of choline ester.
