Fabric treatment compositions are described that provide three functions to the textiles to which they are applied: sanitizing (killing microbes therein or thereon), conditioning or softening, and providing a residual antimicrobial effect to prevent immediate reinfection after treatment. Such trifunctional, or three-in-one, fabric treatments employing organosilane compounds, nonionic and cationic surfactants, and cationic fabric conditioners, and their use as microbicidal and microbiostatic agents, and fabric conditioners and softeners are also described.

The present disclosure describes antimicrobial, sanitizing and other applications employing a synergistic combination of a quaternary ammonium compound and an anionic surfactant. The present disclosure is also related to non-antimicrobial applications employing a synergistic combination of a quaternary ammonium compound and an anionic and/or nonionic surfactant. The present disclosure is related to various forms of concentrated or use compositions containing the quaternary ammonium compound and an anionic surfactant (and in certain embodiments nonionic surfactants). In particular, the present disclosure provides compositions having desired foaming enhancement and methods employing the same for applications such as pot and pan compositions, hand soaps, facility sanitizing, and other soil removal applications with foam stabilization.

The method for cleaning sand which contains toxic and hazardous substances consists of the following steps: a) Sieving the contaminated sand with the sieve (3), b) Cleaning/scrubbing the contaminated sand in the attrition machine (4) in the slurry with adding of water from the water tank (5) for the purpose of removing toxic and dangerous substances as well as grease from the surface of the grains of sand, c) Grading/dripping on the dehydrator (8), in which cleaned sand and sludge are obtained, d) Sedimentation of sludge in the conical vessel (14) and removal of sludge by filtration, e) Separation of cleaned sand by grain size by using gravity concentration at the slurry separator (9 and 9') and concentration tables ( 10 and 10') where cleaned sand and wate-rock are obtained, f) Drying of cleaned sand, grading by grain size and storage and packing of sand graded in such manner, water, calcium oxide and aqueous solution of disodium metasilicate, sodium carbonate, benzalkonium chloride and ionic and/or non-ionic surfactants are added in the step b) of the sand cleaning process, which, when mixed within the attrition machine (4) create a mixture for the cleaning of sand and in the step d) filter press (17) is used for making an inert sludge cake.

The invention relates to methods and liquid compositions suitable for high level disinfection ("HLD") of medical instruments at close to ambient temperatures. The methods and compositions are also effective for digesting biological contaminants, and, surprisingly, can be used to clean and disinfect concurrently. Both cleaning and disinfection efficacy meet the criteria for cleaning and disinfection of medical devices. Use of compositions according to the invention enable reprocessing of instruments more quickly with greater energy efficacy, and greater convenience than prior art reprocessing methods. Compositions according to the invention are also useful for simultaneous cleaning and disinfecting other surfaces, for example in hospitals, food preparation areas and the like, or fabrics and the like such as are treated in hospital laundries.
