Abstract:
A method and system for multiplexing of multiple channels of video data through a single analog broadcasting channel is disclosed. The method enables a spatial and temporal multiplexing of videos of each of the multiple channels. The multiplexed content is created as a result of multiplexing that is encoded to generate digital transport stream that is transmitted through analog medium. The system enables a STB receiver to decode each of the videos from the stream. At least one video from the multiple videos is played on the television based on user selection.
Abstract:
The present invention describes a novel framework for distance education that enables asynchronous interaction between expert teachers and remote classrooms. In an embodiment, the present invention describes a method for enabling asynchronous interaction between a facilitator and at least one user that are geographically separated from each other. A multimedia-based message from the facilitator may be sent to a broadcasting station over a network. The broadcasting station broadcasts the multimedia-based message to the user through a network having large bandwidth such a satellite network using Direct-To-Home technology. In an aspect, the multimedia-based message may be created by the facilitator himself.

Abstract:
The invention facilitates asynchronous interaction between a geographically separated facilitator and at least one user. The said invention provides asynchronous interaction between rural classrooms (teacher-student community) and expert teachers to increase the outreach of the expert teachers much beyond that is permitted with the teachings of the prior art.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for synthesizing multimedia presentation content comprising presentation content data and audio-visual content data are described herein. In one implementation, the subject matter includes analyzing frames of at least one of the presentation content data (220) and audio-visual content data (222) to identify an inactive frame. The time duration of the inactive frame is computed. Further, the inactive frame is segmented to create a synthesized content data (224) including at least one frame of the presentation content data (220) and at least one frame of the audio-visual content data (222) present within the time duration. The segmentation is based on the presentation content data (220), audio-visual content data (222) and time duration.
