Implementations relate to providing animated user identifiers. In some implementations, a computer-executed method includes determining that a video call over a communication network is connected between a first device associated with a first user and a second device associated with a second user. The method stores a set of multiple images that are received by the first device as part of the video call, and forms a motion clip including the set of multiple images and indicating a sequence of the set of multiple images for display. The method assigns the motion clip to a user identifier associated with the second user, and causes display of the motion clip to visually represent the second user in response to the user identifier being displayed in at least one user interface on the first device.

An improved social media or messaging platform can be provided, retaining in large measure both the immediacy and engagement of video conferencing, while not sacrificing benefits more characteristic of email and similar messaging platforms, such as asynchronous scheduling, bandwidth efficiency, and various administrative record-keeping benefits. Audio data and associated gesture data (for example, panning and zooming) is recorded by users in associating with image data, and shared with other users in a conversational thread, permitting a video-like experience without associated bandwidth overhead.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for accessing, accessing and editing a document over a social networking platform. The method comprises the steps of creating a document through a personal device in an online or offline mode and uploading the created document over a timeline of the social networking platform. The uploading document is stamped with a date and a time of uploading. The method further comprises parsing the uploaded document, saving the parsed document and viewing the saved document in an online mode over document viewer web application. The document viewer web application opens in an additional tab on clicking over the saved document. The document viewer web application allows a person to edit a document online without downloading over a device memory. The edited document is saved over the timeline.
Abstract:
A system and method for generating a local group and enhancing a personal importance over a social networking platform is disclosed. The method comprises registering a user over the social networking platform comprising a personal information and a professional information of the user. During registration the user selects a registered mobile number, updates a timeline of the user, and uploads a plurality of status updates, images, audio files, video, blogs and weblinks on the timeline. A number for likes and dislikes over a registered user's blogs, images and weblinks is generated along with allocation of a positive credit for each like and a negative credit for each dislike over the registered user's blogs, images and weblinks and display of a highest credited user details over a homepage of a local group page and a global group of the social networking platform.

A system and method for identifying one or more notable moments from video data are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a video receiving module, an identification criteria module, a moment identification module and a presentation module. The video receiving module receives video data. The identification criteria module determines one or more criteria for identifying a notable moment. The one or more criteria are based at least in part on one or more of an audio indicator and a facial indicator. The moment identification module automatically identifies at least one notable moment in the video data based at least in part on the one or more criteria. The at least one notable moment is based on a subset of the video data. The presentation module sends the identified at least one notable moment for presentation to at least one user.
