Abstract: A tool for grinding and polishing of glass and surfaces of hard and brittle non-glass materials comprises abrasive which is for example ceric oxide, and bond, for example phenol­-formaldehyde resin. The tool further comprises hollow or full or porous polyamide and/or polyethylene and/or polypropylene and/or polymethacrylate and/or polystyrene and/or glass and/or corundum microbeads of size of 1 µm to 200 µm.
