Abstract:
The invention provides a fibre, film or foam comprising a plasticizer and a charged claylinked gel (A), said charged claylinked gel (A) comprising clay nanoparticles (C) which are crosslinked by a charged polymer (A') such that any particular clay nanoparticle is linked to at least one other clay nanoparticle by said charged polymer (A'). Methods for producing the fibres, film and foam are also provided.
Abstract:
An absorbent article, the absorbent article being a personal hygiene article, comprising a liquid permeable top sheet, a liquid impermeable back sheet, and an absorbent core enclosed between the top sheet and the back sheet, and a fluid flow control member arranged between the top sheet and the backsheet, said fluid flow control member being of a nonwoven material comprising a three dimensional network of fibres, said fibres having a thickness of 200-700 µm, said nonwoven material having a strain of max 50% at 5 k Pa.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an absorbent article comprising a freeze dried composite material. The freeze dried composite material comprises cellulosic pulp (e.g. CTMP) and an absorbent material. The absorbent material comprises microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) with a specified content of carboxylate groups.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for lime sludge reburning in a fluidising bed. The method is characterized in that a cooling medium (10) is injected immediately above the fluidising bed (3). The invention also comprises means for performing the method. The arrangement which is known per se is provided with an injection device (10) for a cooling medium above the fluidising bed (3).
Abstract:
A charged claylinked gel is described, said charged claylinked gel comprising clay nanoparticles which are crosslinked by a charged polymer. The crosslinking is such that any particular clay nanoparticle is linked to at least one other clay nanoparticle by said charged polymer. A method for producing the charged claylinked gel, and the use of the gel in absorbent articles is also described.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an absorbent article in the form of an absorbent porous foam comprising freeze-dried microfibrillated cellulose. The foam exhibits improved absorption characteristics due to the presence of charged groups in an amount of 0.5-2.2 mmol/g of MFC. The invention also relates to a method for the production of the foam, comprising oxidation of pulp (TEMPO-mediated), disintegration and freeze-drying.
