摘要: The present invention relates to a construction of a partial natural absorbency to all disposable hygiene products that is directly to baby diapers, sanitary pads, adult diapers, baby pads, breast pads, and all other single used hygiene products. The absorbent pad contains the combination of viscose fluff, gelatine powder, agar powder and superabsorbent polymer (SAP). The present construction partially will Bio/ degrade under aerobic conditions within a period of 24 months. The importance of this product is the natural absorbency without the harsh toxic chemicals that irritates baby's bottoms and dehydrate the skin which results in red skin, boils, chafing and bleeding patches that could lead to critical illnesses in babies and adults.

摘要: This invention relates to a surgical or medical dressing which comprises a supporting and reinforcing layer of elastomeric material (as polyethylene homopolymer) embedded in the composition of honey/additives, to supplement the mechanical strength, which would be fabricated as a single integral piece, intended to provide multi-functional properties in the wound environment, particularly for promote or expedite the regeneration or repair deep tissue injuries or chronic wounds such as ulcers. Several additional characteristics of this new dressing provide an advantage to any wound care product developed from it. First, the biomaterial retains many biological properties of its major constituents (honey/additives). Second, the application of this safety dressing is greatly simplified particularly for pediatric burn Care.

摘要: An absorbent article such as a diaper extending in a longitudinal direction parallel to a longitudinal axis (80') and a transversal direction (90') perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and comprising a distribution layer (54) between a topsheet (24) and an absorbent core (28). The distribution layer comprises a fibrous material and a first and second longitudinally-extending channels (86a,b) substantially free of fibrous material. The fibrous material is profiled in the transversal direction so that average basis weight between the channels differs from the average basis weight in the lateral areas outward of the channels by at least 50 g/m2 and/or wherein the distribution layer comprises a first region having a first basis weight (bw1) and a second region having a second basis weight (bw2), wherein the first basis weight and the second basis weight differ by at least 20 g/m2, preferably by at least 50 g/m2, and these regions are present in different areas of the distribution layer but in the same longitudinally extending transversal section. The absorbent core may comprise channel-forming areas (26a,b). The article further comprises a backsheet (25).

摘要: A method for synthesizing a derivative of a saccharide such as starch, substituted with quaternary ammonium cations, forming a cationic polysaccharide. The method comprises subjecting a saccharide to a mixture of an optionally substituted halo-epoxide such as epichlorohydrin and one or more optionally substituted amines. The method may be prepared in a one-pot synthesis via the formation of a glycidyl derivative of a tertiary amine as an in situ intermediate. The starch polymers formed are biodegradable, have antimicrobial properties and can be further formed into antimicrobial hydrogels by photo-crosslinking of the starch derivative.
