Abstract:
An absorbent core (5) in an absorbent article is provided with at least two folding guides (17, 18) extending in a substantially longitudinal direction (y) in the crotch region and dividing at least a part of the crotch region of the absorbent core in a central portion (19) and two lateral portions (20, 21) as seen in a transverse direction (x). At least two stretchable crotch elastic members (22, 23) are arranged in the crotch portion of the article and are attached to the absorbent core (5) and/or to the inner or outer cover (6; 7). At least a substantial portion of the crotch elastic members are positioned laterally outside the respective folding guide (17, 18) so as to cause said two lateral portions (20, 21) of the absorbent core to be raised along said folding guides with respect to the central portion (9).
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing an absorbent hygiene article comprising a plurality of components that are joined together during the manufacturing process. Thermochromic fibres are incorporated in a component web, component or a selected area thereof, said thermochromic fibres being adapted to change colour between a contrasting colour to a less contrasting colour. A colour change of said thermochromic fibres is induced during one step of the manufacturing process and the presence of the thermochromic fibres being in their contrasting state is detected by a detection means. A measure in the process control is actuated in response to the detected presence of thermochromic fibres in their contrasting state.
Abstract:
The invention refers to an absorbent article such as a diaper, a pant diaper, a sanitary napkin, an incontinence guard etc., said article comprising components that are joined together by a bonding pattern. The bonding pattern (11 , 12, 16, 18) has colour- changing properties triggered by heat and/or pressure exerted during the bonding process, said colour-changing properties being either irreversible or reversible. The colour-changing properties may be accomplished by thermochormic pigments, theromchromicfibres and/or pressure-sensitive pigments. The invention further refers to a laminate formed from two or more web material layers joined together by a bonding pattern having colour-changing.

Abstract:
An absorbent article such as a diaper, a pant diaper, a sanitary napkin, an incontinence guard etc., which comprises thermochromic fibres. The thermochromic fibres may be incorporated in one or more of the following components of the absorbent article: the inner coversheet (6), the acquisition layer (8), the absorbent structure (5), the outer coversheet (7) or a layer arranged between the outer coversheet and the absorbent structure. The article may alternatively contain a fibrous layer which mainly or entirely contains thermochromic fibres. The thermochromic fibers may be used as wetness indicator, as a fever indicator, as a function control for microorganisms that have been incorporated in the article or for amusement purposes, such as creating colour imprints of hands etc.
