Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition containing in an aqueous medium, at least 1) a sulfonate mixture containing: a) an internal olefin sulfonate (A) having 16 carbon atoms and b) an internal olefin sulfonate (B) having 18 carbon atoms, - wherein the weight ratio (A/B) of the component (A) to the component (B) present in the sulfonate mixture is from 75/25 to 90/10, preferably from 80/20 to 85/15, and - wherein the weight ratio of the hydroxy form compounds present in the internal olefin sulfonates (A) and (B) to the olefin form compounds present in the internal olefin sulfonates (A) and (B) is from 75/25 to 100/0, preferably from 80/20 to 95/5; and 2) at least one foam-enhancing agent or foam booster. The present invention relates also to a process for cleansing keratin materials, which consists of applying to the said keratin materials a composition according to the invention, in working the said composition into a foam and then rinsing off the said composition, especially with water. The present invention relates also to the cosmetic use of the composition as defined above, for removing makeup and/or cleansing the skin, the hair and/or mucous membranes, or for skincare.
Abstract:
A cosmetic composition for treating acne includes at least one acne treatment active that includes at least one beta hydroxy acid and an aqueous carrier comprising at least one cationic polymer. In some embodiments the cosmetic composition is a cleanser that comprises at least one surfactant.
