Abstract:
A lightweight display system (10) includes an output matrix (34) of output terminals (28) of optical conductors (30) supported on a preferably flexible substrate (16) by terminal housings (20). Optical conductors (30) are collated into an input matrix (34) that receives light containing a source image (39) from projector (40). Light propagates through optical conductors (30) and exits output terminals (28) to form an enlarged display image (31) that corresponds to the source image. Preferred embodiments of display screen (12) are collapsible and facilitate transportation and reassembly.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method, and products thereof, for producing amine and/or thiol functionalised surfaces using plasma deposition and the subsequent derivatization of said functionalised surfaces using biomolecules.
Abstract:
Dispensing apparatus for dispensing a liquid product from a container (1) into a bottle (2), which is mounted on an upwardly biassed height adjustable plate (3). The bottle opening (4) abuts a container opening located in mounting means (5). The container (1) comprises a cylinder (6) closeable at one end by valve means and closeable at its other end by a piston (9). The valve means comprises a nozzle (8) with an operatively connected actuation member and a closure cap (35). The actuation member is movable between a closed position and a plurality of open positions by a detent pawl located on the mounting means (5). A piston actuating rod (10) is connected to an upwardly biassed control shaft (12), which may be lowered or raised by the belt system (14-18). In use the piston actuating rod exerts pressure via the piston base (25) on the contents of the container (1), thereby allowing the contents to be discharged into the bottle (2).
