Abstract:
The instantaneous water heater of the invention consists essentially of an elastic, flexible or rigid, floatingly fitted composite pipe (10) and a heat source (6). When the liquid is heated inside (1) the pipe, undesirable substances, e.g. chalk, can separate out from the liquid and be deposited on the inner walls of the pipe. If, however, the pipe (10) is moved and/or deformed by internal overpressure or external force, the separated substances fall off the inner walls. The composite pipe (10) can, for example, consist of an inner pipe (2), internal insulating layers (3-5), a heating wire (6) and outer insulating layers (7-9).
Abstract:
A wristwatch or pocket watch has a housing (1), a glass (2) and a dial (3). In order to make it easier to assemble the watch and to multiply its design possibilities, the threedimensional dial (3) has a volume so that it can receive a passage (4) for a winding shaft (5). This passage (4) in the dial (3) is waterproofed by a seal (6) arranged in a recess (9) on the winding shaft (5).
Abstract:
The wristwatch of the invention has a bracelet (8) and a case consisting of three components (upper part or cover glass 5, central part or dial, lower part or base 3) in which is fitted a movement with time indicators, especially hands, and has standardized connecting regions (9) in which the bracelet (8) and at least two of the case parts are secured or securable together. The connecting regions (9) take the form, for instance, of hinges and, during assembly, serve as positioning auxiliaries for aligning the individual parts and as a gripping and orientation point for alignment and assembly tools and as final or temporary connections between the case parts and the bracelet. Watch models of different shapes having the same, standardised connecting regions can be assembled by substantially the same procedure and assembly tools, thus permitting faster model changes.
Abstract:
A wristwatch or pocket watch has a bottom (1), a cover glass (2) and a carrying body (3), a clockwork (4), a dial face (6) and watch hands (5), as well as holding means such as a strap or a chain (13). The carrying body (3) serves as a basis for the dial face (6) and as a basis for anchoring the clockwork (4). The bottom (1) and the cover glass (2) are secured to the carrying body (3) by linking elements (7, 8). The carrying body (3) may have members (12) for fastening holding means such as a strap or a chain (13) or the latter may be shaped on the carrying body (3).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a coffee machine, suitable for different types of coffee, which requires no pre-heating time and consumes no energy when on stand-by. The machine consists essentially of a water reservoir (1), a pump (5), an instantaneous water heater (8) and an infusion chamber (10) designed to hold the coffee (10'). The water heater (8) has a small heat capacity and can thus produce large temperature changes over short time intervals. A control loop is fitted to maintain the required water-output temperature. The unheated components (9 to 12) along the path along which the water passes between the heater (8) and the coffee (10') are designed to ensure that the hot water loses the minimum amount of heat but that they are sufficiently strong.
Abstract:
Using the process according to the invention, a pourable or kneadable material which can be used to produce ceramic articles is provided with closed pores in the form of hollow glass spheres. A pourable or kneadable material of this type undergoes further processing of essentially the same type as a similar material without hollow glass spheres. The resulting ceramic material has improved heat-insulating properties and reduced density as a result of the additional porosity.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a watch case with a casing (2), a dial (4) and a crystal (5). In order to simplify assembly and provide greater freedom of design, the crystal is positioned and fastened directly on the surface (20) of the watch dial.
