Abstract: A subsea hydraulic control system that is a subsystem for providing a hydraulic pilot signal to an actuation subsystem. The present invention comprises a hydraulic control system and method for rapidly actuating subsea equipment in deep water comprising a combination of a subsea control valve having a small actuation volume with a small internal diameter umbilical hose extending downward to the control valve.
