摘要： A method and apparatus for removing carbon dioxide from a gas stream comprising methane and carbon dioxide. The method includes the steps of: (a) contacting the gas stream with an agent that comprises, consists or consists essentially of a formate salt solution to form a methane product stream having a lower concentration of carbon dioxide than in the gas stream and a waste stream containing the agent and carbon dioxide dissolved therein; and (b) isolating said methane product stream from said waste stream.
