Abstract:
Provided are a method and an apparatus for recognizing a serial number of paper money. The method includes: receiving an image of paper money including a plurality of figures and a plurality of characters and extracting an image of a character sequence of a portion on which the serial number is inscribed; dividing the image of the character sequence into character images having a predetermined pixel size; allocating the character images to an area having a predetermined pixel size, converting values of quantitated pixels of the area into numerical values, and arranging the values in a series of numerical sequences to generate input data; inputting the input data into a neural network which has learnt a plurality of pieces of basic character data of each character to allow the input data to coincide with the plurality of pieces of basic character data of the each character and outputting probability values depending on a number of cases of the plurality of pieces of basic character data; and arranging the probability values output from the neural network in a descending order, selecting a case according to first basic character data having the highest probability value, sequentially arranging characters corresponding to the case, and outputting the characters as a character sequence.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and an apparatus for recognizing a denomination. The method includes: receiving an image of the paper money including figures and letters to extract an image of a specific portion characterizing the denomination; allocating the image of the specific portion to an area having a predetermined number of pixels, converting values of quantitated pixel into numerical values, and arranging the numerical values in a sequences to generate input data; inputting the input data into a neural network which has learnt a plurality of pieces of standard data of denominations to allow the input data to be compared with the plurality of pieces of standard data and outputting probability values depending on a number of cases corresponding to each denomination; and arranging the probability values output from the neural network in descending order, selecting a case according to standard data having the highest probability value, and outputting a denomination corresponding to the selected case as recognition data.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is an apparatus and method for analyzing data of cell chips. The apparatus includes a cell chip scanner, a fluorescent-intensity measuring module and an analyzer. The cell chip scanner scans cell chips and creates image files. The fluorescent-intensity measuring module measures fluorescent intensities of the spots in the image files created by the cell chip scanner. The analyzer creates graphs in such a way as to individually conduct curve-fitting on the fluorescent intensities of the spots of the blocks that were measured by the fluorescent-intensity measuring module. The analyzer creates an integrated graph in such a way as to integrate pieces of data of the blocks obtained under same test conditions and then conduct curve-fitting on the integrated data.
