A retrofit diverter switch which has a mechanical and electrical interface that is compatible with the existing designs is provided. The diverter switch may include a vacuum switch. The feature where the mechanical and electrical interface is compatible enables a retrofit from traditional On Load Tap Changers to a vacuum based on Load Tap Changers. The diverter switch may be retrofitted into existing tap changer housings. Retrofitting from traditional to vacuum based, traditional to vacuum based and up rating, and vacuum up rating may be possible. Also, the diverter switch may include modular components that allow for easy customization of the diverter switch for different applications.

In one aspect, the invention provides fluorescent probes and assays. The probes include a fluorophore-quencher pair that undergoes a switch from dark to fluorescent in response to a reaction of the quencher. The switch of the probe from dark to fluorescent is typically mediated by an enzyme that acts directly or indirectly on the quencher, interfering with its ability to quench fluorescence emission from the fluorophore. In another aspect, the invention provides a reporter gene assay system and methods of using this system. The assay system includes a fluorophore-quencher probe and an enzyme that acts directly or indirectly on the quencher, increasing the fluorescent emission of the fluorophore. In still other aspects, the invention provides nucleic acid constructs and cells expressing the peptide products of these constructs. In assays of the invention, the presence of a target substance is detected by the switching of fluorescence mediated by the change in oxidation state of the quencher. The assay systems are of use in numerous assay formats, e.g., confirming the expression of the enzyme that acts on the quencher, and/or detecting a species conjugated to the enzyme.

A system and a method for production of a packaging laminate (10), and a packaging device and a method for production of a package (15;17). The packaging laminate comprises a layer (6) containing magnetisable particles (19). Faults, such as single spot defects and splices, are marked on the packaging laminate (10) by the application of a magnetic field to make a magnetic mark (19) on the packaging laminate. A system (2) and related method for supporting non-intrusive and effective voice communication among mobile users in which voice calls between mobile users are managed based on callee availability, caller-callee relationships, and non-intrusive information exchange, including interactive exchange at the time of call setup but prior to the call being answered. Callee availability can be based on callee device status, calendar activities, location, past behavior and other factors. The caller-callee relationships specify whether the callee is available, unavailable or on restricted availability relative to the caller. The interactive exchange can be implemented using voice and/or text/graphic displays on caller and callee mobile device. Callees are provided with options for handling the call. Callers are provided with information regarding the callee's current and future availability and willingness to receive a voice call from the caller, thus maximizing the chance of caller reaching the callee on every voice call.

The invention relates to a method for regulation of a combustion engine having a narrow banded lambda sensor for stoichiometric mixture ratios of air-fuel ( lambda = 1,0) arranged in the exhaust system, where the combustion in the combustion engine during its major part of operation is regulated towards lean mixture ratios of air-fuel exceeding lambda = 1,1, and preferably lambda = 1,2-1,6 or leaner. By forcing the engine during short duration to stoichiometric mixture ratios at several load cases could a base value for the necessary amount of fuel Fgr be determined for maintaining stoichiometric operation. The necessary amount of fuel for lean operation could thereafter be determined by use of a correction factor Fkorr, where Fvirt = Fgr.Fkorr. During continued operation at the predetermined lean mixture ratio is Fvirt used for regulating the amount of fuel supplied, at the load cases where Fvirt have been established, or by an interpolated value of Fvirt in-between the load cases where Fvirt have managed to be established. By the inventive method a quasi-feedback regulation could be obtained for lean burn with an inexpensive and reliable lambda sensor for a richer stoichiometric mixture ratio.
