Abstract: A resettable combination lock includes a plurality of user depressable buttons (29) and a user-settable interposer (169) for coupling selected ones of the buttons to a first button-actuation counter (205) that counts correct button depressions and the other of the buttons to another button-actuation counter (207) that counts incorrect button depressions. In addition, each button is coupled to a third counter (171) that counts the total number of button actuations. In order to effect unlocking, the correct buttons must be pushed to cause the first counter (205) to count the proper number of correct button actuations and the third counter (171) to count the proper number of button actuations without registering a single count on the second counter (207). The incrementing of a single count on the second counter, which indicates the depressing of a button not in the unlock sequence, will prevent the lock from being unlocked.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a constant-velocity joint assembly. The constant-velocity joint assembly comprises: a first and a second shaft portion, each of which has a projecting portion; a double yoke portion in which a guide hole is defined in an axial direction, wherein the first and the second shaft portions are each fastened so as to be rotatable upward and downward about an axis at either side of the guide hole; and a guide unit mounted on the guide hole, guiding the projecting portions, and rotating along the inner periphery of the guide hole when the first and the second shaft portions rotate. The first and the second shaft portions comprise: a spider; and a yoke block. The spider comprises: spider bodies, each having a spider hole defined therein; lateral leg portions projecting in the left and right directions from the spider bodies, respectively; and vertical leg portions projecting in the upward and downward directions from the spider bodies, respectively, and fastened to the double yoke portion. The yoke block comprises: a shaft having the projecting portions; a block body having block holes defined therein, the projecting portions passing through the block holes, and being connected to the shaft; and lateral fastening members projecting in an axial direction from the left and right sides of the block body, respectively, each having fastening holes defined therein for rotatably fastening the lateral leg portions thereto.

Abstract: A combination locking assembly (31) having a simplified and robust construction is provided with easily positionable slide members (161) for setting the combination. Combination bars (141), and increment bar (143), and an advance bar (145) cooperate to prevent a locking bar (123) form being moved to an unlocked position unless the correct push buttons (39) are sequentially depressed in the correct order. As the correct push buttons (39) are sequentially depressed, the combination bars (141) are caused to individually advance to a translated position. A common panel (189) is provided which cooperates with notches (187, 188) in the combination bars (141) to hold the combination bars (141) in their advanced positions until the last push button (39) in the correct combination sequence is depressed, thereby causing the locking bar (123) to move to its unlocked position.
