Abstract: Techniques related to small object tracking for multi-camera immersive video of a scene are discussed. Such techniques include downscaling and dividing an input picture into tiles and separate application of an object detector to the tiles to detect a small object, tracking the small object in temporally subsequent frames using a cropped sub-region around the detected location and reconstructing the small object in the scene using the tracked locations.

Abstract: An example system for game status detection and trajectory fusion is described herein. The system includes a tracker to obtain a ball position and a player position based on images from a plurality of cameras and a fusion controller to combine multiple trajectories that are detected via the ball position to obtain a fused trajectory. The system also includes a finite state machine configured to model a game pattern, wherein a game status is determined via the ball position, the player position and the fused trajectory as input to the finite state machine.

Abstract: A method for player and ball tracking post processing is described herein. The method includes optically tracking a trajectory of a player and ball and determining at least one affinity player for the currently tracked player. Additionally, the method includes completing the optical trajectory for the currently tracked player based on an estimated trajectory from the affinity player and stabilizing ball tracking during game break. The method further includes calculating virtual camera movement.
