Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a flexible, laminated sheet operable to receive an ink for use as signage includes mixing solidified polyethylene and at least one solidified ink binder together to form a substantially evenly distributed mixture of the same. The method also includes processing the mixture into a flowable coating layer having a substantially even distribution of the polyethylene and the at least one ink binder. Moreover, the method includes coating the coating layer onto a substrate.
Abstract:
A portable shelter includes a canopy and a frame assembly that supports the canopy. The frame assembly includes a lower portion that defines an area and a resiliently flexible canopy support member extending over the area and supporting the canopy over the area. The frame assembly further includes a collapsible coupling with a first end operably coupled to the lower portion and a second end operably coupled to the canopy support member. A distance between the first end and the second end is variable.
Abstract:
A frame assembly for supporting an extendable wall member of a portable shelter on a foundation. The frame assembly includes a plurality of frame members that are operably secured together. The frame members are positionable between a first configuration, in which the wall member is extended, and a second configuration, in which the wall member is retracted. At least one frame member includes an end that is disposed adjacent the foundation. Furthermore, the frame assembly includes a foot member with a support portion. The foot member is pivotably coupled to the end of the frame member to pivot between a first position, in which the support portion is disposed between the end and the foundation to support the frame member on the foundation, and a second position, in which the support portion is disposed away from an area between the end and the foundation.
Abstract:
A portable shelter has a canopy assembly that includes a main portion and an awning. The shelter also includes a frame assembly with a main frame and an awning support member. The main frame defines a main area and supports the main portion of the canopy assembly such that the main portion covers the main area. The awning support member includes a first portion operably coupled to the main frame and a second portion that extends away from the main area. The awning support member is resiliently flexible, and the awning support member supports the awning such that the awning covers an adjacent area that is adjacent the main area.
Abstract:
A portable shelter includes a frame assembly and a canopy that is supported by the frame assembly. The canopy includes a transparent skylight. The canopy includes a plurality of walls, a first roof portion, and a second roof portion. The first and second roof portions are joined together at an apex of the shelter and slope generally downward from the apex. The apex has a longitudinal length defined between at least two opposing ones of the plurality of walls.
