Abstract:
The present invention provides a textile dryer having a housing defining a chamber having an infeed and an outfeed. A separation wall extends through the chamber to create a first zone having a first ambient condition and a second zone having a second ambient condition. A first conveyor extends through the first zone and a second conveyor extends through the second zone. A controller is provided to allow an operator to independently select the speed and direction of the first conveyor and the second conveyor, and to independently select the physical conditions of the first ambient condition and the second ambient condition, and to maintain these settings during the operation of the dryer.
Abstract:
A system or machine 10 is disclosed which takes pre-stretched emulsion coated screens 34, digitally prints thereon and exposes them before further processing and use in a screen printing machine.
Abstract:
A detachable scraper attachment (22) for a flood bar (12) having a pair of opposing opposite edges (14) comprising a portion adapted to mount on a portion of the flood bar holder (17), a flange (26) having an upper (28) and lower edge (30), the lower edge (30) being generally arcuate, the upper edge (28) attached to the channel portion (24), and means (34) for detachable affixing the scraper attachment (22) to the edges of the flood bar (12).
Abstract:
A method of printing ink on a textile including providing a source of white ink; providing a first print head connected to the source of white ink and mounted for reciprocating translational movement through a printing zone; providing a heating source; moving the first print head through the printing zone to apply white ink to a substrate positioned in the printing zone; and moving the heating source through the printing zone to heat the white ink on the substrate to cause gelling of the white ink.
Abstract:
An indicator system is provided for ensuring proper registration of a frame. A plurality of stops for a registration system are electrically coupled to each other. When contact is made with a metal frame, a circuit is created and an indicator coupled to the circuit, such as a light, can be activated to show such contact.
Abstract:
A sequencing system for a printing press, the printing press having a plurality of print stations, each of the print stations for printing a respective portion of a design on an item with ink, the printing press also having a curing station for curing the printed ink, the sequencing system comprising a controller having random access memory for selecting one of the print stations for indexing the item to the selected print station, for determining whether the item is present at the selected print station, for actuating the selected print station to print the respective portion of the design on the item, determining completion of the actuation, for selecting one of the curing stations, for indexing the item to the selected curing station, for determining whether the item is present at the selected curing station, for actuating the selected curing station, and for determining completion of the curing operation.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a carriage for a direct to garment inkjet printing machine. The machine has a frame having a leading edge, a trailing edge, and a pair of opposed lateral edges. A first row of slots is positioned on the leading edge and a second row of slots is positioned on the trailing edge. The second row of slots is spaced from the first row of slots by a gelling gap. A shelf on the frame supports tanks of white ink and tanks of color ink and a first plurality of tubing connects a tank of white ink positioned on the shelf with a print head in the first row of slots. A second plurality of tubing is for connecting a tank of color ink positioned on the shelf with a print head in the second row of slots.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a foil applicator assembly for a screen printing press having a support arm extending along a first line. The assembly has a carriage having a leading edge and a trailing edge and is mounted for reciprocating translational motion along the first line. A press roller is mounted to the carriage and has a first axis of rotation generally orthogonal to the first line. A film supply roller is mounted proximate the press by a member that is stationary with respect to the carriage and provides a second axis of rotation parallel to the first axis of rotation and has a first outer surface. A film guide member is mounted on the carriage and is spaced from the press roller along the first line.
Abstract:
A hybrid printing machine is described having both silk screening stations and a direct-to-garment digital printing station with a raster image processor to control a portion of a printing process.
Abstract:
In an embodiment of the present invention, a squeegee blade holder (104) is provided. The holder (104) includes a first side member (106), a second side member (108), and a pivot portion (112) between the first and second side members (106; 108). The holder (104) also includes a separator (110) between the first and second side members (106; 108) for maintaining compression of the side members against the squeegee blade (102). In another embodiment of the present invention, a method of holding a squeegee blade (102) in a holder (104) is provided. The method includes the steps of providing a first holder side (106), and providing a second holder side (108). The method further includes compressing the first and second holder sides (106; 108) against the squeegee blade (102), and maintaining compression of the first and second holder sides (106; 108) against the squeegee blade (102).
