Le dispositif selon l'invention comprend un ensemble mobile, logé dans un boîtier (1) circulaire et conçu de manière à être entraîné en rotation autour de l'axe (XX') dudit boîtier (1), cet ensemble comprenant une couronne périphérique coaxiale (10) munie d'une graduation et une base (4) dont la face inférieure porte une carte géographique centrée de manière à ce que l'axe (XX') du boîtier (1) passe par le lieu dont on recherche la direction, un couple index (11), flèche (16) solidaire du boîtier (1), un repère (17) solidaire du fond et destiné à être positionné sur le lieu de la carte où se trouve l'utilisateur et un élément d'appui solidaire du boîtier (1), destiné à venir porter sur un support (21) en constituant un pivot.

A collapsible artificial tree including a series of stackable branch holders held in their unfolded position by a vertical connecting member inserted through holes in the branch holders. The branch holders (3) consist of rings (4) secured to a sheath (2) which is open at its bottom end and closed at the other end to form a tip. The connecting member is a stiffener (5) with a cross-section matching that of the flexible sheath (2) and the hole through the rings (4).

The apparatus comprises a carrier frame (1) supporting a pendular element (18) along which a mass (19) may slide and of which the displacements are effected by means of a cable (20). The pendular element (18) includes a tubular structure which is longitudinally divided into two parts (24, 25) each comprising at least two guiding surfaces of two opposite areas of the mass (19) so as to provide themselves for the longitudinal guiding of the mass, and linking means (33, 38) of said two parts with free longitudinal sliding of one of the parts with respect to the other. The invention may be particularly applied to the driving into the ground of studs with a central sleeve.

Method for manufacturing a pin from a band, for example a metal band, comprising a prismatic sheath of which at least one of the faces is extended by a conformed fin to facilitate the vertical penetration thereof in the ground and to provide for a transversal resistance; the method is characterized in that it comprises the profiling of a band intended to the formation of a plurality of pins so as to form, on each of its edges, a straight prismatic sleeve (1, 2) having throughout its length an opening (11, 21) along its connection ridge with the intermediary band portion (3) joining the two sleeves, the cutting of the profiled band, on one hand perpendicularly to the generatrix of said prismatic sleeves (1, 2) to form the sections (A1 B1, A2 B2) of equal length at the pin and, on the other hand, for each section, according to a diagonal plane (A1, B1).
