Abstract:
Abstract:
A pile guide (1) is provided comprising a base frame (3) and a pile guide member (5) for guiding the pile as it is driven into a substrate when the base frame is resting thereon. The pile guide member comprises plural guide parts (7) each moveable between a operative position and an inoperative position, each guide part being pivotally mounted on the base frame. At least one guide part is operably coupled or couplable with an associated counterweight (9) for opening of the guide member to its inoperative position under gravity, such that, at least in an inoperative position, at least part of the counterweight and the associated guide part are movable with respect to each other. In another aspect, at least one of the guide parts and/or at least one of the counterweights is detachably connected with the base frame and/or with each other. Methods are also provided.
Abstract:
The invention relates to structures, such as offshore structures, associated apparatus and methods. For example, the invention can relate to wind turbine structures, such as piles for offshore wind turbines, and associated apparatus and methods. In some examples, the invention relates to guide apparatus for offshore piles having a guide portion configured to provide an acoustic barrier between a pile and a surrounding body of water during deployment of a pile at a body of water. The apparatus may comprise a dampening structure, such as inflatable bladders, or the like, configured to provide the acoustic barrier. In some example, the guide apparatus comprises a piling template, configured to be positioned on a water floor, so that the guide portion can locate, and be positioned with, the template to allow for guiding of a pile to a water floor.
Abstract:
Retrievable pre-piling template (10) for offshore wind turbine foundations, comprising a plurality of pile guide sleeves (12) interconnected by connection elements (14, 16, 18), where said pile guides sleeves (12) are arranged to rest on the ocean floor and to receive a pile (70), wherein said connection elements (14, 16, 18) are assembled to form a continuous circular O-ring structure (20), and a number of the pile guide sleeves (12) are arranged to be releasable mounted to the structure (20).
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system and a method for the installation of a subsea foundation frame to the seabed to which a wide variety of structures can be attached. The system preferably uses tension anchors which are drilled into the seabed. A single tension anchor or multiple tension anchors can be used to secure the subsea structure in accordance with the method of the present invention. To achieve the accurate positioning of the tension anchors, the prefabricated foundation frame structure itself is used as the locating template for the drilling equipment. Furthermore in accordance with the method of the present invention, these tension anchors are installed using robotic underwater installation equipment connected to a small support vessel with an umbilical cable.
Abstract:
Apparatus (8) for positioning piles relative to one another in a substrate (14), comprising a template (10) and a pile guide (12) releasably attachable to the template (10) in any one of at least a first location (20) and a second location (22) when guiding a pile into the substrate. The first and second locations (22, 24) are spaced apart to enable the pile guide (12) to be releasably attached to the template (10) in different positions relative thereto. The template (10) includes apertures (38) which define part of an integral guide for a pin pile for pinning the template (10) to the substrate (14).
Abstract:
A method of and apparatus for installing an elongate upstanding structure in a seabed (SB), including the steps of providing a hollow guide assembly (1) capable of accommodating the structure (5) to be installed in the seabed (SB) and using the hollow guide assembly (1) to position and set the structure (5)in said seabed at said position and at said orientation, positioning the hollow guide assembly on the seabed at the position it is required to install the structure (5) upstanding in the seabed, setting the orientation of the guide assembly (1) at the orientation required for the structure when upstanding, downwardly displacing the structure (5) relative to the guide assembly to cause the structure to become self supporting at said position and at said orientation.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present application relates to an apparatus and method for placing an element (14), such as a steel column or concrete section, into a pile shaft (1) during top-down construction techniques. The apparatus is provided with an upper and lower positioning means (2, 3) which allow the plan position of the element at upper and lower levels respectively to be adjusted.
Abstract:
The apparatus comprises a carrier frame (1) supporting a pendular element (18) along which a mass (19) may slide and of which the displacements are effected by means of a cable (20). The pendular element (18) includes a tubular structure which is longitudinally divided into two parts (24, 25) each comprising at least two guiding surfaces of two opposite areas of the mass (19) so as to provide themselves for the longitudinal guiding of the mass, and linking means (33, 38) of said two parts with free longitudinal sliding of one of the parts with respect to the other. The invention may be particularly applied to the driving into the ground of studs with a central sleeve.
