A head for writing a plurality of bands. The bands have magnetic transitions onto a magnetic media (110). The magnetic media (110) travels in a preselected direction. The head includes a body support structure (100) and a plurality of write elements (120). The write elements (120) have a fixed alignment in the body support structure (100) that is substantially perpendicular relative to the travel direction of the magnetic media (110).

Method and apparatus are provided for pumping operations that may be used to form perforations in the casing of a well, clean perforations and drill drain holes through perforations. A plunger is placed in a reference perforation and the pumping operations may be performed through a nozzle at a known location with respect to the reference perforation. The nozzle may be attached to a flexible hose to drill a drain hole or may be inserted in a body on the bottom of a tubing string. Addition apparatus and method are provided to insure that the plunger or plungers are maintained in a reference perforation or perforations when pumping operations are carried out through tubing.

The disclosed systems and methods relate to the creation and use of fixed-layout display component(s) embedded as part of the overall programmatic device (s) screen display(s). In preferred embodiments, these fixed-layout components may behave in a specific manner and can be utilized and managed independently of the remaining programmatically generated screen display functionality. A fixed-layout component may contain many elements and associated user interactivities. Each element may be related positionally, dimensionally and display sequence to the overall component and to other elements contained such that the mathematical calculation of relative position, size and dimension aspect ratio of all the component items and the item display sequence is maintained programmatically and visually relative to each other irrespective of the device screen size or orientation when the fixed-layout component is part of an overall display. Advantages include rapid embedding of fixed-layout component(s) into device(s) display application(s).
