The drive wheel can be rotatably secured to a body of the motive machine. The steering assembly (610) can be operable to steer the motive machine. The controller (604) can be in communication with a steering sensor (606), a steering motor, and a limit sensor (608, where the controller (604) can be configured to synchronize the steering motor to the steering sensor (606) as a function of a limit signal.

Abstract: A floor cleaning machine can comprise a chassis, a cleaning mechanism, a control system, and a cleaning operation sensing system connected to the chassis. The chassis can be configured for movement along a cleaning path. The cleaning mechanism can perform a cleaning operation. The liquid system can provide liquid to the cleaning mechanism. The recovery system can recover liquid from the cleaning operation. The control system can control performance of the cleaning operation. The cleaning operation sensing system can detect a condition of the cleaning operation. The cleaning operation sensing system can comprise a water trailing detection system comprising: a frame connected to the chassis aft of the recovery system; an absorbent medium connected to the frame; and a moisture sensor in communication with the control system to alter a signal in response to moisture in the absorbent medium.

Abstract: Example control systems for automated power management of a machine are described herein. The features are described with reference to a hybrid powered sweeper-scrubber machine, but is not limited as such. The machine can include a main machine controller (MMC) operably coupled to an engine, and a power module operably coupled to the MMC by a controller area network (CAN) bus. A sub-system, including a sub-system having motors, can be operably coupled to the power module by the CAN bus. To provide automated power control, the power module can monitor a load of the sub-system, and using the monitored load of the sub-system, the power module can communicate sub-system load information to the MMC. The MMC can automatically adjust an engine speed based on the sub-system load information and the selected functional mode of the machine.

The controller can be configured to control autonomous movement of the robotic floor cleaning machine along the cleaning path and autonomous performance of the cleaning operation. The plurality of sensors can be configured to sense a location of the robotic floor cleaning machine relative to surroundings of the robotic floor cleaning machine. At least two sensors from the plurality of sensors are configured to locate the robotic floor cleaning machine in overlapping areas of the surroundings.
