    Abstract: A threaded rod hanger has quick lock plunger mechanism that includes plunger pieces within a tapered bore in a housing. The plunger pieces have tapered outer surfaces. A spring within the housing presses the plunger pieces toward the narrow end of the bore, with the spring located between the plunger pieces and a back plate that closes off part of a wide end of the tapered bore. The plunger pieces have internally threaded surfaces that engage threads on a threaded rod that is inserted into the bore, between the plunger pieces. Once the threaded rod has been inserted between the plunger pieces and released, the plunger pieces are pushed toward the narrow bore end. This causes the plunger pieces to press inward, automatically causing the internal plunger half threads to engage the external threads on the threaded rod.

    Abstract: A cable support (l0)has a saddle(12), and a hinged part (58) that can be engaged with a slot (68) in the cable support to close an opening for placing cables into the saddle. The saddle has a curved inner surface (16), bulging at middle of the surface and curving away toward the longitudinal edges. The hinged part has a resilient finger tab (66) that releasably fits into slot in the support to close the opening. An insert (320) may be placed in a cable-receiving area of the support to divide the area into plural cable-receiving pockets (322). The insert may include hooks that engage an insert guide rail of the cable support.

    Abstract: A hanger for hanging a circular cross-section object, such as a pipe or conduit, includes a top portion that has a channel for receiving a rod therethrough, and a bottom portion that includes a curved section for receiving the circular object. The bottom portion is hingedly coupled to the top portion at a hinge point. A free end of the top portion fits into a slot in the free end of the bottom portion, with the bottom portion free end secured in a notch in the top portion. Tips of the free end of the top portion may be bent away from each other to lock the portions together. The bottom portion may be in two parts that may be rotated relative to one another to facilitate installing the bottom portion around a pipe or conduit that is to be supported.

    Abstract: A J-hook cable support (10) includes a semicircular saddle (12), a stem (30) at one side of the saddle, and a tip (90) at the other side of the saddle. The stem (30) includes protruding tabs (52,54,56,58) able to engage snap-on brackets (150,200) in order to engage structural parts, or to couple multiple cable supports together.
