Abstract:
A process is described for the homo- and co-polymerization of conjugagted dienes characterized in that it is carried out in the presence of a catalytic system comprising a complex having general formula (II): Fe(L)n(X)s wherein n is an integer ranging from 1 to 3; X is independently a group of an anionic nature bound to Fe(II) as an anion in an ionic couple or with a covalent bond of the σ type; "s" expresses the number of x groups sufficient for neutralizing the formal oxidation charge of Fe(II), and is equal to 2 if all the X groups are monovalent; L is a ligand having general formula (I)

Abstract:
An organometallic composition which can be used as activating component in a metallocene catalyst for the (co)polymerization of α-olefins, comprises: (A) a fluorinated di-unsaturated cyclic compound, having a relatively acid hydrogen atom, (B) an organometallic compound sufficiently basic to react with the acid hydrogen of the above compound (A), and (C) a polar aprotic organic compound, not containing metallic atoms, having a dielectric constant, in the pure state, equal to or greater than 2, and a weak coordinating capacity. Said composition allows a metallocene catalytic system of the ionic type to be obtained, with a high activity in the (co)polymerization of olefins and a reduced content of metallic residue in the polymeric product thus obtained.
Abstract:
A solid catalyst component for the (co) polymerization of α-olefins having general formula (I): Zr n MA1 x C1Mg p (I) wherein : M represents titanium (Ti), vanadium (V), or mixtures thereof; n is a number ranging from 0.01 to 2; x is a number ranging from 0.1 to 4; y is a number ranging from 5 to 53; p is a number ranging from 0 to 15; obtained by means of a process comprising putting at least one zirconium arene in contact with at least one metal compound and, optionally, with at least one com¬ pound of magnesium. Said solid catalyst component can be advantageously used as a solid component in a catalyst for the (co) polymerization of α-olefins. Said catalyst can be advantageously used in a process for the (co) polymerization of α-olefins.
