    摘要: A bimodal poly(ethylene-co-1-alkene) copolymer comprising a higher molecular weight poly(ethylene-co-1-alkene) copolymer component and a lower molecular weight poly(ethylene-co-1-alkene) copolymer component. The copolymer is characterized by a unique combination of features comprising, or reflected in, its component weight fraction amount, density, high load melt index, molecular weight distributions, viscoelastic properties, environmental stress-cracking resistance, and impact strength.     摘要: Process for the production of a polypropylene random copolymer (PP), the process comprising the steps of polymerising in a first reactor (R1) propylene and a comonomer (C1a) selected from a C4 to C8 α-olefin in the presence of a first metallocene catalyst (MC1) yielding a first polypropylene copolymer (PP1), wherein the ratio of the feed of the comonomer (C1a) to the feed of propylene is in the range of 1 to 100 mol/kmol and the MFR2 of the first polypropylene copolymer (PP1) is in the range of 0.01 to 100 g/10 min; transferring the first polypropylene copolymer (PP1) to a second reactor (R2); polymerising in the second reactor (R2) and in the presence of said first polypropylene (PP1), propylene, a comonomer (C1b) selected from a C4 to C8 α-olefin, and a second metallocene catalyst (MC2) yielding a second polypropylene copolymer (PP2), wherein the ratio of the feed of the comonomer (C1b) to the feed of propylene is in the range of 40 to 150 mol/kmol and the MFR2 of the second polypropylene copolymer (PP2) is in the range of 0.01 to 100 g/10 min; withdrawing the polypropylene random copolymer (PP) comprising the first polypropylene copolymer (PP1) and the second polypropylene copolymer (PP2) from the second reactor (R2); wherein the first metallocene catalyst (MC1) and/or the second metallocene catalyst (MC2) is a metallocene catalyst (MC) comprising a metallocene complex, and wherein the metallocene catalyst (MC) comprises a support comprising silica.

    摘要: Process for the production of a supported metallocene catalyst system involving the steps of: (i) preparing a mixture (a) by subjecting a quantity of a metallocene compound of together with a quantity of a cocatalyst as solution in a hydrocarbon solvent, preferably at a temperature of 40-80°C for a period of 0.1-2.0 hrs; (ii) preparing a mixture (b) by reacting a quantity of an aluminium compound of formula (II) with a quantity of an amine compound of formula (III) in a hydrocarbon solvent; (II) (III) wherein R6 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon moiety comprising 1 to 30 carbon atoms; each R7 and R8 are the same or different and are hydrocarbon moieties comprising 1 to 30 carbon atoms; R9 is hydrogen or a functional moiety comprising at least one active hydrogen; R10 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon moiety comprising 1 to 30 carbon atoms; R11 is a hydrocarbon moiety comprising 1 to 30 carbon atoms; (iii) providing a quantity of a support material, preferably a dehydrated support materials, into a reaction vessel; (iv) providing a quantity of a hydrocarbon solvent into the reaction vessel; (v) supplying the mixture (a) and the mixture (b) to the reaction vessel; (vi) subjecting the contents of the reaction vessel to a temperature of > 60°C for a period of > 3 hrs to obtain a supported catalyst system; and (vii) removing the hydrocarbon solvent from the supported catalyst system. Such process allows for the production of a supported metallocene catalyst system having reduced fouling in olefin polymerisation.

    摘要: A method for making a propylene oligomer having a high vinylidene content and a high degree of structural regularity and the propylene oligomer made therefrom. The method of making the propylene oligomer comprises contacting an unbridged metallocene complex with a propylene composition in the presence of a modified methyl aluminum oxide activator compound under suitable oligomerization conditions. The use of the combination of a modified methyl aluminum oxide activator compound with an unbridged metallocene complex has been found to provide increased vinylidene group content and reduced hydrogenated propylene oligomer content.

Also provided are polymers obtained by a process using the composition and a process of making polymers using the composition.
