Abstract: The invention encompasses fire-escape models of off-shore rigs with emphasis on a 'Detachable Island Rig' (DIR.) instantly unlocked upon a rig-fire, from a permanent 'under- water basement', saving property and personnel. An 'off-site' modular is an unlimited air-source for all 'fire-escape' units. A 'spray-room' with converging 'spray-walks', or 'spray-tracks' with 'track-drives' or else a simpler means of 'spray-drives' are safe evacuation accessories workable even with minimal expendable cost and space. In the foregoing, vital needs like safe evacuation, food, and fresh air are devised as affirmed provisions. The wheeled 'life-boats' and 'lift-boats' are let out boarded or un-boarded, by click of a remote control, with no sustainable collision injury.

Abstract: The modular 'Sea Level Gas Separators of Oil Well Effluent' (SLGOE) units about a rig vicinity preclude gas entrainment reaching the rig. When operative as an 'Emergency operational SLGOE unit' (EOS unit), functional only after a blow-out, the effluent is let out from annulus A into 'gas-separator' tanks of EOS unit, entering as a down-flow, whereby instantaneous separation of gaseous elements is effectuated, with the massive top outlets letting off the rising gas, furthermore attenuating its pressure, the pressure and volume being inversely proportional. When operative as a Multi-operational SLGOE unit (MOS unit), the unit separates the effluent on regular basis, and also after a blow-out. In either model, a gas entrainment by its instantaneous ascent, is precluded from entraining into down-streaming oil. When the drilling conductor is breached, an 'oil separator' tank separates oil from admixed water, whereby pollution of oceanic water is precluded.

Abstract: The devised modular of 'Subsea Level Gas Separator of Oil Well Effluent (SLGOE) precludes giant gas entrainment entering the rig. The effluent, past the BOP, is diverted by gravity through a 'diversion' tube, into the bottom of 1-3 'gas separator' tanks, creating fountain-like flow. The downstream, syphoned from an 'oil passage tank', joins the partitioned collection system past the 'diversion' tube. The large top outlets of 'all' tanks let off 'instantly' rising gases. In another embodiment of two 'gas separator' tanks, oil flows from the top of the first. Its bottom outlet directs it into the top of the second. From it, oil is siphoned to the collection system. The large top outlets of both tanks instantly let off gases. In either device, the gas 'instantly' separates from the effluent tossed into aerial milieu of the tanks, a simplest model conceivable, the laws of nature taken advantage of.

Abstract: The invention describes a schematic 'Detachable Island Rig' (DIR) locked on immovable basement, to be detached upon an oceanic rig-fire. For stationing back onto the basement, always submerged in water, the DIR is pulled down by pulleys on the sides of the base structure. The basement 'accessed' from within DIR or from outside, through the roof or from top side windows of a staircase-room erected from the basement, to rise far above ocean waters, is an optional fire-escape. A 'fire escape', with plan similar to the basement 'access', can be constructed as a 'modular' unit. The 'modular' with a roomy enclosure and narrow towering top, is chained to the rig, and schemed for always maintaining safe distance. It floats with finite number of helium sacs when unoccupied, but attains fire-inaccessible safe submersion when occupied, by blowing out finite number of helium sacs proportional to the added weight.
