Abstract:
Eine paketvermittelte Verbindung ist von einer Mobilstation (MS) über eine erste Sende/Empfangseinheit eingerichtet, wobei die Mobilstation (MS) einer ersten Zelle und einem ersten Aufenthaltsbereich zugeordnet ist. Bewegt sich die Mobilstation (MS) in eine zweite Zelle und einen zweiten Aufenthaltsbereich, so wird der Verbindung eine Aufenthaltsbereichswechselkennung zugewiesen. Es wird eine Übergabeprozedur der paketvermittelten Verbindung von der ersten Zelle in die zweite Zelle durchgeführt. Nach der Übergabeprozedur wird ein Datenaustausch über die paketvermittelte Verbindung wieder aufgenommen. Nach der Wiederaufnahme des Datenaustauschs wird eine Prozedur zum Aufenthaltsbereichswechsel durchgeführt.

A base station (first base station) (103a) of a cellular communication system (100) is provided, and the base station (103a) comprising an interface (108a) which is configured for providing position data (110) to a second base station (103b). The second base station (103b) comprises an interface (108b) for receiving the position data (110) from the first base station, wherein the position data may be related to a base station different from the first base station. Further, the second base station (103b) comprises a determination unit (112) for generating a first output signal which depends on the position data (110) received from the first base station (103a) and on position data which are related to the second base station (103b). The position data may include own position data which are related to the first base station (103a), e.g. to a geographical position of at least one cell served by the first base station. Further, the position data may indicate a spatial extent of a service area of a cell served by a first base station (103a), or the spatial extent of a unique identifier area of a cell served by the first base station (103a).
Abstract:
Components of a cellular communication system and methods for operating components of a cellular communication system are disclosed, wherein an access right indication is sent from a network element (112) to a base station (108) which access right indication defines limited access rights of a user equipment (106) to access the radio access network (104) to which the base station (108) belongs. According to embodiments, the access right indication is an access right update updating already defined access rights of the user equipment (106) to access the radio access network (104).
Abstract:
A packet-switching connection is set up from a mobile station (MS) through a first transceiver unit, whereby the mobile station (MS) is assigned to a first cell and a first residence zone. As the mobile station (MS) moves to a second cell and a second residence zone, the connection is assigned a residence zone change identification. A transfer procedure for the packet-oriented connection from the first cell to the second cell is carried out. After the transfer procedure a data exchange by means of the packet-switched connection is reestablished. After reestablishing the data exchange a procedure for residence zone exchange is carried out.
