Abstract:
A non-hydraulic dredge comprised of a vaned conveyor/traction/drive assembly. A bi-directional embodiment is disclosed. An elevation adjustment and obstruction override embodiment as disclosed.
Abstract:
An excavator has a moving conveyor with vanes that penetrate the earth and section it. A cutter bar follows the vanes, cuts a section of earth loose and directs it to a lifting throat. The lifting throat, in combination with the conveyor and vanes, lifts the excavated earth into a hopper.

Abstract:
A multi-purpose vessel (30) for use when recovering material from a bottom surface of a body of water. The vessel (30) includes a hull (38) and a dredge assembly (40) mounted to the hull (38). The dredge assembly (40) is adapted to recover the material from the bottom surface. A conveyor system (60) is provided, with the conveyor system including a first portion (70) adapted to receive the material from the dredge assembly (40), a moveable second portion (62), and a distribution portion (92). The second portion (62) is moveable to a first position in which the second portion (62) is adapted to receive the material from the first portion (70) and to convey the material to a first desired location disposed a first distance away from the hull. The second portion (62) is further moveable to a second position in which the second portion (62) is adapted to convey the material to the distribution portion (92). The distribution portion (92) is adapted to convey the material a second distance greater than the first distance away from the hull.
