Abstract:
The present invention is directed to levelling apparatus, typically as used on tractors, excavators and skid-steer vehicles, and references the levelling assembly and mounting options including directly to the existing blade of vehicles as well as other mounting arrangements. Preferred embodiments of a levelling apparatus include a blade body portion and body mounting portion connected by an arrangement of fixed and adjustable linkages, preferably hydraulic, to allow movement of the blade body portion (relative to the body mounting portion) in substantially an up and down direction, as well as rotational movement about an axis perpendicular to the general plane of an attached blade.
Abstract:
Ground/face working apparatus (1) comprises a primary support portion (2) for mounting to a vehicle and an accessory body portion (3) including or allowing the attachment of an accessory such as a blade (5). Multiple fixed length links (4a-c) allow and limit a degree of relative movement between the accessory body portion (3) and primary support portion (2) including lateral, vertical, and roll rotational (about a horizontal longitudinal axis). Control actuators (6a, 6b) primarily control the aforesaid rotational and vertical dispositions of the portions (2, 3) while a side shift variable length link comprising an actuator (8) affects the amount of lateral movement.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to an impact driver, which relies on multiple connected piston and cylinder assemblies which sequentially fire; a first auxiliary piston assembly charged to compress a compressible fluid with a piston rapidly releases the charge on said piston allowing the compressed fluid, which is typically a gas, to accelerate said auxiliary piston. This auxiliary piston is connected to a second travelling primaty piston assembly which it accelerates. Within the primary piston assembly a primary piston can be charged to compress a compressible fluid. The charge on the primary piston can also be rapidly released to accelerate the primary piston. The primary piston may be connected to a striking element, or successive travelling piston and cylinder assemblies which ultimately connect to a striking element.
Abstract:
An improved method of shrink fit assembly of two components increases resistance to torsional and/or axial loads without the need for a separate key element. Use of a roughened surface, in combination with a softer deformable material, creates a keyed type interaction at the contact areas of the shrink fitted components. One of the shrink fitted components may comprise the softer material, though intermediate layers and sleeves can be used.
Abstract:
Grader Apparatus for attachment (4) to a vehicle has a main body portion (2) coupled to a blade body portion (8) by multiple linkages. These include primary load bearing links (15, 17) which connect (16) to the blade portion (8) aligned in a vertical z-axis allows rotation of the blade portion (8) thereabout. Adjustable length actuators (18) allow rotational yaw control about the z-axis. Adjustable roll actuators (19) connect between an extension (3) of the main body portion (2) and the blade body portion (8) to control its elevation and roll angle. Other embodiments allow lateral shifting of the blade body portion (8), and include an improved slope sensor catering for yaw with roll combinations.
Abstract:
A ground modifying assembly is intended for attachment to the movable support arm of a vehicle such as an excavator. The assembly includes a mount arm portion for attachment to the vehicle's support arm, and a main body portion for supporting various components of the assembly. A pivotable connection about a transverse axis links the main body portion and the mount arm portion. The assembly includes or allows for attachment of ground working accessories such as blades, rakes, and mouldboards, which may be mounted on a separate accessory body portion pivotably attached to the main body portion to allow cross-fall inclination of the accessory. Guidance devices allow for the assembly to work with positioning systems common on worksites.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to reducing apparatus for comminuting waste material, and comprises a rotating drum with outer screening apertures for allowing comminuted material to pass through, and which houses a reducing means which may comprise a rotating disc with teeth. To address problems inherent with certain types of waste, and particularly green waste, fibrous waste, and typical domestic waste, there is included a flexible biasing means for assisting in clearing screening apertures, breaking clumps of materials as they form and assisting in preventing their formation, to assist in a more even flow of raw material being presented to the reducing means. Preferred flexible biasing means include sheath portions distributed along their length.
Abstract:
Comminution apparatus is described which is tailored for the processing of green, soft, and fibrous waste. Inner and outer comminution drums bear projecting macerating features which can progressively interact to provide a shearing action on material on waste within the outer comminution drum. Screening apertures on the outer comminution drum allow for the exit of comminuted material.
