Abstract:
A press tool for disconnecting a torque rod assembly from a structural support comprising an anchor plate, a brace plate, a drive rod supported by the brace plate, and a plurality of spacing members operatively connected to the anchor plate and the brace plate such that the press tool defines a tool opening. At least a portion of the torque rod end and the structural support are passed through the tool opening such that the anchor plate engages at least a portion of the structural member. The drive rod is axially rotated relative to the brace plate such that the drive rod engages at least a portion of the torque rod assembly and displaces the torque rod assembly relative to the structural support.
Abstract:
A coupling mechanism for securing a tool to a tool arm may include a housing and an engaging lock. The engaging lock may be arranged within the housing and configured for rotation by the tool arm. Rotation of the engaging lock may drive locking mechanisms partially through the housing to establish a longitudinally secured connection.
Abstract:
There is provided a process for joining two opposed superalloy surfaces (104, 106) comprising positioning a plug (110) within a gap (108) between a first (104) and a second superalloy surface (106), the plug (110) comprising a superalloy outer wall (126) encasing a filler material (128); and causing the filler material (128) to undergo a chemical change which expands a volume of the plug (110) to a degree sufficient to mechanically interlock the first superalloy surface (104) and second superalloy surface (106) to one another.
Abstract:
In accordance with one aspect, an applicator is provided for applying staple fasteners to an end of a conveyor belt. The applicator provides advancing, clenching, staple driving, and final set operations that are coordinated by a drive of the applicator. In one form, the drive includes a cam plate and the applicator includes a handle that may be pivoted to turn the cam plate through a range of motion. Turning of the cam plate causes cam followers received in cam paths of the cam plate to shift and operate the mechanisms of the applicator. A method of using an applicator to apply conveyor belt fasteners is also provided.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A clip is described which has a T-Keeper which fits into a slot in a picket, and bent edges that apply even and constant pressure to the inside of a rail. The T-Keeper member is inserted into a picket and rotated, and then then picket with the clip are inserted through an opening in a rail, thereby securing the picket to the rail.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a cost-effective and easily installed rack for mounting a photovoltaic panel using ballast to anchor position. Innovative features include light-weight construction with metal sheeting and attachment mechanisms that avoid the drilling of holes. The predictable 80% weight reduction due to efficient design potentially avoids structural reinforcement at roof locations.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a shaft (1) with shaped profile, the method comprising the steps of: - making a bar (2) which extends along a first axis (A1); - making an annular element (3) having an opening (10) about a second axis (A2); - depositing material (24) on the bar (2) so as to form a coupling stretch (5); - inserting the annular element (3) on the bar (2); and - fixing by interference the annular element (3) on the bar (2) in the coupling stretch (5).
Abstract:
A removable stretchable cover for exercise equipment has a first wall, a second wall, two side walls and two end walls arranged to form an interior cavity and an opening through which the exercise equipment is appointed to traverse. The opening is formed as a stretchable slit opening adapted to expand to engulf the exercise equipment, and contract in a closed configuration when the exercise equipment is housed within the interior cavity to substantially enclose the equipment within the cover. At least one anti-slip surface is integrated within at least one of the first wall, second wall, two side walls or two end walls. The cover is composed of a thin, stretchy, soft material so that it can be significantly stretched and contracted to snuggly fit over the exercise equipment. Examples of exercise equipment for which the cover is especially well suited include yoga blocks, foam rollers, exercise balls and arm handles of exercise machines.
