    Abstract: A sterile closed system (20, 120) is provided that includes an airtight enclosure (40), an infusion-bag receptacle (44), medication-preparation tubing (48), one or more medication-preparation-tubing valves (50, 250), and an infusion-bag seal (46), which is configured to make an airtight seal with respective external surfaces of a medication port (36) and an IV tubing port (34) of an infusion bag (32). A medication- vial port (53) is configured to be sealingly coupled to a medication vial (30). The sterile closed system (20, 120) is configured such that a medication-port-interface needle (60), disposed within an enclosure interior (42) of the airtight enclosure (40), is sealingly couplable to the medication port (36) of the infusion bag (32), and an IV-tubing -port-interface spike (64), disposed within the enclosure interior (42), is sealingly couplable to the IV tubing port (34) of the infusion bag (32) without breaking the airtight seal between the infusion-bag seal (46) and the respective external surfaces of the medication port (36) and the IV tubing port (34) of the infusion bag (32).     Abstract: An ocular clip implant (22) used for securing an intraocular lens (IOL) (62) in an eye of a patient is provided which includes an IOL-engaging portion (26) disposed at a first end of the ocular clip implant (22).     Abstract: A valve-splitting device (20, 120) for splitting a native or prosthetic valve cusp (4) is provided. The valve-splitting device (20, 120) includes a cover sheath (22) and a splitter (26, 126), which is removably disposed inside the cover sheath (22). The splitter (26, 126) includes a first over-the-wire cutter (30), which is shaped so as to define a guidewire lumen (40) that is configured to accept and slide over a guidewire (3); and a second opposing cutter (32, 132). The splitter (26, 126) is configured, upon distal advancement of the splitter (26, 126) out of a distal end of the cover sheath (22), to be opened such that the first over-the- wire cutter (30) and the second opposing cutter (32, 132) are separated from each other and are disposable on opposite sides of the cusp (4), such that closing the splitter (26, 126) by bringing the first over-the-wire cutter (30) and the second opposing cutter (32, 132) together cuts the cusp (4).     Abstract: A user-controllable urinary catheter prosthesis (20) is provided for minimally - invasive insertion into a subject. The prosthesis (20) includes a proximal intra-urethral assembly (22), configured to be inserted entirely within a urethra (102) via a meatus (104). A user-activatable hydraulic activator (50) is disposed along a flexible intra-urethral catheter (30, 430), which is shaped so as to define a urinary outlet (40, 440) at a proximal end (41, 441) thereof.     Abstract: A system and/or method are disclosed to inhibit sorption to a surface in a biological medium and/or biofouling by means of an alternating electric field. For example, one or more insulated electrodes may be positioned near the surface. For example, insulation may limit electric current flow between the biological medium and the electrode and/or between the surface and the electrode and/or between the electrodes. In some embodiments, the alternating charge in the vicinity of the surface may inhibit the buildup of biological films and/or sorption to the surface. For example, the system may be used to inhibit fouling of an implanted medical device (e.g. a catheter).

    Abstract: An extraocular muscle clip (22) for correcting strabismus includes upper and lower plates (24, 26) which are couplable together to sandwich and grasp extraocular muscle (42).
