Abstract: A mechanism for stopping car doors in a desired position that enables stopping the car doors when opening or closing in the desired position between closed and completely opened and also fixing this position. Abstract: Mechanism for smooth opening and retaining a car door in a desired position that gives an impression of "smooth opening" as with known spring mechanisms and it allows retaining a car door during opening or closing in a desired position between the fully closed and fully open door and also blocking thereof in such position. According to a first embodiment, the mechanism comprises a connecting rod (1) fastened at one end via hinge (2) to a car door and sliding through a housing (3) fastened to the bodywork via guide (4).
