A flow regulating dispensing closure (1 10) for a container (145) is provided. The closure comprises a base (130) attachable to a container and including a dispensing passage, and a lid ( 135) connected to the base and movable between a closed position in which the dispensing passage is blocked and an open position in which a first flow path (X) through the lid is unblocked for dispensing flowable product from a container. The lid is movable to one or more further open positions in which one or more further flow paths (Y) therethrough are unblocked to allow increase of the flow rate.

A flip-top dispensing closure ( 10) comprising a generally cylindrical base ( 15), and a lid (20), the closure having a drinking spout (25) provided on or by the base which is engagable by a user's mouth and through which product can be dispensed, the lid being articulated with respect to the base at the rear of the closure, in which the spout profile is asymmetric about a midline (M) generally defining front and rear spout profiles (27, 28) and in which the rear profile (28) is inclined towards the front of the closure.

A flip top closure and a method of forming a flip top closure. The flip top closure comprises a base (2) and a lid (3). The lid being hingedly connected to the base. The lid further comprises a securing portion (4) fixable to the base. The securing portion being operable to secure the lid to the base, such that first opening of the lid breaks a connection between the securing portion and the lid. The lid also comprises a retaining portion (6), operable to co-operate with the securing portion to retain the lid in a closed position on the base.
