Abstract: Arrangement of a DC drive motor and a DC generator in an annular, flat DC motor generator. A conventional motor generator has drawbacks such as the requirement of a large installation space, an overall complicated apparatus, and a low generating efficiency. This DC motor generator has, so as to solve the drawbacks in the convention generator, a disc-shaped commutatorless DC motor (1) mounted in an outer peripheral body, a first disc-shaped DC generator (3) driven via a direct coupling by the motor and mounted on a side surface of the outer body, and a second disc-shaped DC generator (9) driven through a planetary gear train ((4), (5), (6), (7), (8)) from the motor (1) and mounted on the opposite side on the body. A large amount of installation space can be saved compared with that of the conventional generator by installing generators of the same type in parallel.
