Abstract:
The invention relates to pressed paperboard containers (10) , such as disposable paper plates and bowls, having increased strength and rigidity, and the processes used to form such containers by the formation of non-radial pleats (30) at outer regions of the container. The invention also provides pleats (30) about the outer periphery that are non-linear along the length of the pleat (30) . Such non-radial and non-linear pleats are formed by forming non-radial and non-linear scores (34) in a blank(36) of paperboard converted into the container geometry.
Abstract:
Drinking cup lids are especially adapted and configured to afford some measure of protection to the game piece (24) from beverage seepage through a straw opening. Preferably, the cup lid is configured so that a game piece is spaced above the straw opening co-located within a recessed well (20) of the lid thereby allowing beverage seepage to remain physically separated from the game piece. Access to the beverage within the cup is facilitated by providing a cross-cut straw aperture (22) in the game piece which is in substantial alignment to the straw opening formed in the lid. A beveled segment (16-3) of a raised plateau (16) on which the game piece is affixed allows a tab (24-3) associated with the game piece to be more easily grasped and removed by a customer to reveal the printed text/indicia of the game piece.
Abstract:
An unleaded reduced emissions gasoline having at least one of an octane less than about 86.7, a sulfur content less than about 40 ppmw sulfur and optionally containing an oxygenate, and having reduced emissions by comparison to a minimum 87 octane gasoline. A method for reducing emissions from an automotive internal combustion engine is provided for a single vehicle and for a fleet. A method for reducing emissions by use of a distribution network and a system for reducing emissions by a combination of a refinery and the vehicles are also disclosed.

Abstract:
An environmentally friendly sheet material, and thermoformed products made with that material. The two-, three- or four layer environmentally friendly sheet material is especially suited for use in connection with the manufacture of cups and similar containers and products. In a two-layer compostable sheet, the first layer is a relatively thick layer containing up to 50% additive. The second layer is a relatively thin layer of substantially clear compostable material. The two-layer sheet material is preferably made by co-extruding the first and second layers together. The multi-layer material and the products therefrom of the invention exhibits surprisingly high gloss levels on one side thereof.
