    Abstract: In a system for transferring bulk material to and from containers (20), an assembly for reducing or eliminating the emission of dust has an annular collar (32) for a filling duct (15) to extend through, and a suction duct (34) for communicating suction to an annular space (33) between the filling duct and inner periphery of said collar. An unloading hopper (50) has an unloading opening (51) in its bottom and a supporting structure (52) for a container. The hopper has an open top arranged to mate with the container at or adjacent its bottom and along its rear and opposite sides, and providing access at the front to a slide plate covering an unloading opening of the container. An assembly (40) is provided for displacing a slide plate to uncover the unloading opening in the bottom of a container, the assembly engaging the slide plate and having an hydraulically-powered actuator (48) for displacing the slide plate.
