Abstract:
Conference systems are used for example in discussions and usually comprise a plurality of delegate units with microphones, whereby in a discussion each discussion participant uses his own delegate unit. Usually the delegate units have a switch or the like, that allows the participant in front of the delegate unit to request, that his microphone is activated, so that the speech of the participant is input in the conference system and amplified by the conference system. A conference system comprising (1) a plurality of delegate units (2), each delegate unit (2) having a microphone (5) for receiving an audio signal from a surrounding, a central service module (3) handling a plurality of contribution channels, whereby the audio output of the contribution channels contribute to an amplified audio output of the conference system (1) is proposed, whereby each delegate unit (2) is adapted to send a request for a contribution channel commit to the central service module (3), whereby the central service module (2) is adapted to grant the request and to allocate a contribution channel to the requesting delegate unit (2), thus setting the requesting delegate unit i in an active state A, whereby the delegate unit (2) is adapted to trigger the request by voice activation, whereby the request is triggered in case at least a first trigger condition is fulfilled defining that the audio signal level of one of the delegate units (2) as a possible requesting delegate unit i is higher than an individual test value for each other delegate unit (2) in the active state A, whereby the individual test value is an estimated audio signal level of the possible requesting unit i resulting from an audio or speech signal provided to the other active delegate units (2).
Abstract:
Recording devices are often used to record discussions, conferences, meetings and the like. The recorded information is reviewed or processed afterwards for example in order to prepare minutes or notes. The known state of the art proposes to use devices comprising two receptacles for tapes. But this solution adds cost to the recording devices, which will not be accepted from all potential buyers as only a small number of the buyers will actually use this functionality. A recording apparatus (1) for recording of audio signals is proposed comprising an external interface (6) for an exchangeable storage medium (7) and an intermediate memory device (5), whereby the recording apparatus (1) is realised to use the intermediate memory device (5) and the storage medium (7) for storing the audio signals, whereby the recording apparatus (1) is realised for an interruption-free storage of the audio-signals during a storage medium (7) exchange, wherein a first storage medium is exchanged by a second storage medium, whereby during the storage medium (7) exchange the audio signals are stored on the intermediate memory device (5) and whereby the audio signals stored on the intermediate memory device (5) are transferred to the second storage medium.
Abstract:
Conference systems are often installed in plenary halls and comprise a plurality of microphones for participants of a discussion, whereby the speech signals of the participants are received by the microphones, amplified by the conference system and distributed to the other participants of the discussion. An audio stream arrangement (1) is proposed comprising: a plurality of audio devices (2), whereby each audio device (2) is adapted to provide an audio stream and whereby each audio device (2) comprises an audio device network interface (8) for transmitting its audio stream over a network (5), a control device (4), whereby the control device (4) is adapted to send a command over the network (5) to any of the audio devices (2) to set the audio device (2) in an active state, whereby the audio device (2) in the active state transmits its audio stream over the network (5), a processing device (3) for processing the audio streams from the active audio devices (2), whereby the processing device (3) comprises a processing device network interface (9) for receiving the audio streams from the network (5) and a mixing unit (11) with a plurality of input channels (12) and an output channel (13), whereby each input channel (12) can be assigned to a audio stream from one active audio device (2) and whereby the mixing unit (11) is operable to mix the audio streams from the plurality of input channels (12) into a common audio stream and to output the common audio stream to the output channel (13), whereby the audio streams from the active audio devices (2) to the processing device are transmitted by a multicast transmission.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a method for running a computer networkand such a computer network. The computer network comprises a number of devices being arranged in a stable daisy-chained loop, wherein each device comprises a bridge having at least three ports, whereby during running the computer network each device can take different states to avoid a loop, and whereby in case of rebooting the ports of at least one of the devices keep their current port states.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a method for managing encryption keys in a communication network (10) comprising at least one transmitter (14) and at least one receiver (16, 18, 20, 22), wherein the receiver (16, 18, 20, 22) has access to at least one encryption key, wherein the validity of the key is determined within the receiver. Furthermore, the invention provides for a receiver (16, 18, 20, 22), a communication network (10), and a computer program for performing the described method.
Abstract:
The invention provides for a method of encoding data and a method for decoding encrypted and authenticity protected data. Furthermore, the invention provides for an encoding and a decoding equipment. For encoding the data is encrypted by using AES encryption (16, 52) and authenticity protected by calculating a CMAC algorithm (26) over the data.
Abstract:
A delay unit (16) for a conference audio system (1) adapted to delay audio input signals for an adjustable time delay, thereby generating audio output signals, is proposed. The delay unit (16) comprising a circular buffer (17); a write pointer (W) to write a sample (S1) of a first input signal to the circular buffer (17) at a first write position; a read pointer (R) to read a sample from the circular buffer (17) at a first read position as a sample of a first output signal, whereby the distance between the first write position and the first read position determines a first time delay d old ;a buffer controlmodule adapted to move the write pointer Wto a next position after writingand to move theread pointer (R) to a next position after reading; characterized in that the buffer control moduleis adapted to adjust a second time delay d new by movingthe writepointer (W) to a second write position, whereby the distance between the firstread position and the second write position determines the second timedelay d new .
Abstract:
The invention provides for a method for using a computer network (10) comprising a number of switches (18, 20) each having ports for receiving and sending streams, wherein the streams are sent from a router (14) via the ports of switches (18, 20), that have shown interest, to at least one receiver (24, 26), whereby in case of a link failure at least one of the at least one receiver (24, 26) sends back a message to the router.
Abstract:
Conference audio systems are widely known and are usually used in political or economic debates, at fairs and wherever a plurality of people discuss with each other supported by a microphone-amplifier-loudspeaker system. In known systems each delegate of a conference has a seat with a working table in which the microphone and the loudspeaker is integrated. A conference audio system is proposed comprising a plurality of delegate units (2), each delegate unit (2) having a delegate loudspeaker (5) and/or a delegate microphone (4), a control means (3, 15) for distributing at least one audio signal from at least one of the delegate microphones (4) or another sound source to a plurality of the delegate loudspeakers (5), the plurality of delegate loudspeakers (5) generating a common audio atmosphere, delay means (16) operable to add a time delay on the audio signal, whereby the time delay is dependent from the distance between the position of the delegate microphone (4) or sound source, respectively, generating the audio signal and the individual delegate loudspeaker (5) position.
