Abstract: The present invention comprises a device for chilling warm material that has a body with at least a partially hollow interior, a mouth situated on the body providing access to the hollow interior of the body. In one form, the mouth is located below the top of said body such that when the hollow interior of said body is filled with liquid, at least a portion of the hollow interior remains unfilled with the liquid to provide a space for expansion of the liquid. In another form, the cover for the mouth includes an extension extending above the mouth to provide a space for expansion of the liquid.
