Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are disclosed for estimating inter-cell interference levels for resource elements of a received Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (OFDM) signal. In an exemplary method in a wireless receiver, a reference symbol interference levels is measured for each of a plurality of reference symbols in a received OFDM signal, and interference scaling factors are mapped to each of a plurality of resource elements of the received OFDM signal. Each interference scaling factor reflects the probability that the corresponding resource element or group of resource elements is subject to interference from an interfering OFDM signal. Interference levels for each of the resource elements are then estimated as a function of the measured reference symbol interference levels and the interference scaling factors.
Abstract:
The invention discloses an adaptive phase shift method in a multi-carrier system, comprising: generating a group of one or more new phase values for corresponding one or more phase shift carriers, PSCs, based on quantization phase values; calculating and comparing a backward maximum power in an evaluation path with the group of one or more new phase values in one timeslot and a forward maximum power in a working path with current phase values in the timeslot; and adjusting phase of the PSCs based on the group of one or more new phase values if the calculated backward maximum power is less than the calculated forward maximum power. An adaptive phase shift apparatus is also disclosed. With the invention, complexity of the implementation is reduced and a small DPS block resource, low Hardware cost, low power consumption is also achieved.
Abstract:
A method and system of facilitating service delivery to a first user (A) registered with a home network (home PLMN) for a particular service having an associated announcement accessible to a service subsystem (4,9) of the home network in a communications system while the user is roaming in a visited network (visited PLMN) of the communications system. The user is identified for the home network and a connection is initiated from the first user (A) to a second user (B) registered with any network of the communications system. The initiated connection is routed to the service subsystem (9) of the home network, the service subsystem (9) of the home network delivers the announcement to the first user, and the service subsystem (9) of the home network establishes a connection between the first and second user (A and B).
