A verification system (200) and a method to, at a wireless telecommunication and data communication network (100), make earnings possible for a card issuer (118). The verification system is based on open, standardized interfaces. When a digital signature has been created on a smart card (102) in a mobile unit (104), the digital signature is encrypted with/by a key which belongs to the card issuer before the signature leaves the smart card. The encrypted signature is transmitted/transferred to the signature receiver (112) in the same way as if it had not been encrypted by the card issuer's key. The signature receiver after that transmits the signature to the card issuer. The card issuer decrypts the signature, debits the signature receiver and transmits the decrypted signature to the signature receiver. After that, the signature receiver can check the digital signature.

The present invention related to a method in a mobile radio communication system with mobile units and connected service providers who provide services over said communication system, where the access from a mobile terminal of a service at a service provider requires a password. The method includes the steps to: - from a service provider, or by him/her appointed certificate authority, electronically transmit/send a password policy to a mobile unit, - in a mobile unit electronically receive said policy and handle and create/configure password connected/associated with said service provider according to rules specified in, the from the service provider or by him/her appointed certificate authority, said policy. The method also includes that the mobile unit or a specific gateway authenticates and authorizes the transmitter/sender of the policy in order to prevent illegal utilization of the possibility to change a policy.

Method and device for position controlled copy protection of a software element, in which the method includes the steps to, in a computer, initiate an installation program for the software element by input of indicated position data and an address code relating to a device which can be positioned; position said device to obtain detected position data for the device; compare indicated position data with detected position data; and approve the installation of the software element in the computer depending on said comparison. An advantage with the indicated solution is that the copy protection according to the invention is efficient directly at installation of a software element, and therefore does not allow unallowed access to the digital material which the software element represents for subsequent copying.

An integrated digital and analogue Radio Frequency (RF) interface (100) for transmitting combined digital and analogue RF signals over fibre based Local Area Networks (LAN). The RF signals are fed/received to/from optical transceiver(s) (102) over a separate electrical RF port (104). The digital and analogue RF signals are distributed over fibre cable (118). The architecture itself is transparent to the transmission of RF signals. The interface is integrated within LAN equipment, e.g. Ethernet or FDDI switch, and allows the distribution of the signals to different buildings or locations within a building.

System and procedure for positioning/positioning for/position marking of digital pictures, at which a picture is registered/recorded by a digital camera (1); a position inquiry is transmitted/transferred from the digital camera to a mobile communication terminal (2), which can be integrated (12) with, or separate from, the digital camera, and which cooperates with a stationary communication network (7); the mobile communication terminal is positioned by means of positioning devices (8) arranged in the stationary communication network; and where picture data related to the registered/recorded picture are stored (10,11) in combination with the position data from the positioning device. The positioning of the mobile communication terminal consequently is executed as a positioning of the mobile terminal in relation to base station terminals in the stationary communication network. The system and the procedure consequently offers position 20 marking/stamping of digital pictures.

The present invention relates to a unit adapted to manage agreements/contracts between a user and a service provider. The unit according to the invention operates locally at the user's, or in the user's access network. The agreement/contract between the user and the service provider is managed by a digital contract, and the unit is adapted to protect this contract against unauthorized access.

A procedure for charging for calls which have been forwarded from a first subscriber in a first operator's network via a forwarding point to a second subscriber is described. According to the procedure, the forwarding point is located in a second operator's mobile telephone network. Further, the second operator transmits charging information related to intercommunication traffic charges from the first operator to the second operator serve as payment for the second operator's costs for the call.

The invention is in form of an architecture which includes a number of layers which are defined by transaction interfaces which describe different transactions and roles for communicating units in telecommunication networks. It further consists of three different part architectures which cooperate with each other in the different layers and between the layers according to the relations, agreements and protocols which are registered in the included relation component which can be a transaction component (that is, agreements between parties or conditions), an information component and/or a technology component. Cooperation is made between these different types of objects with different functions and the objects exist in all layers.
