Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary sliding vane machine (1) for fluid processing, comprising a housing (2) with a cavity (4) with a rotor (9). Vanes (12) are arranged in outwardly directed slots (13) in the rotor (9), and relative sliding between the vanes and the rotor provides spaces with variable volumes in the rotational direction. Each vane is supported by hydrostatic slide bearings (20, 20') on each side of the vane (12). Due to pressure changes of the process fluid, the vane (12) is tilted towards and away from bearing pads (27, 27', 87). The invention causes the bearing pads to adjust their position to the vane (12), and also causes a change of volume of a bearing fluid chamber (21, 21', 81), which in turn effects a supply of bearing fluid to the slide bearing fluid film.

Abstract: A transmission comprising at least one rim 1 and at least one wheel 2. An outside surface of the wheel 2 is adapted to engage with an inside surface of the rim 1. The wheel 2 is rotatable about a first axis B and the rim 2 is rotatable about a second axis A. The second axis A is at a distance from the first axis B. The inside surface of the rim 1 has a cyclic polygonal shape with an angle between each adjoining side 4 of the polygon being greater than 90°. The outer surface of the wheel 2 has a cyclic polygonal shape with an angle between each adjoining side 6 of the polygon being greater than 90°. Abstract: A rotation machine comprising a housing 2 with a generally circular-cylindrical internal chamber 3 and a rotor arranged rotatable within said chamber 6. The rotor comprises a driven or driving vane unit 6 having a hub 7 with a number of stiff vanes 8 fixedly attached to or integrated with said hub 7. A passive follower 10 is arranged around the hub 7. The follower 10 has a smaller outer diameter than the diameter of the internal chamber 3, thus creating a working chamber 11 between the outer surface of the follower 10 and the internal surface of the housing 2.
