Abstract:
An electric coagulation printing method comprising the step (a) of forming a plurality of dots of colored coagulation ink, which represent a desired image, on an active surface of an anode by electric coagulation of the electric coagulation printing ink, and the step (b) of bringing a substrate into contact with the dots of colored coagulation ink so as to transfer the same ink from the active surface of the anode to the substrate, whereby the image is printed on the substrate, characterized in that the step (a) is carried out while the active surface of the anode and ink is maintained at a temperature of about 35 DEG - 60 DEG C. An apparatus for implementing this method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
Titanium dioxide particles are subjected to a surface treatment with a calcium salt and/or a silane coupling agent or with a combination of these with an aluminic salt, whereby titanium dioxide particles greatly reduced in volatile water content can be obtained. A masterbatch containing the resulting titanium dioxide particles can give high-quality products free from defects caused by bubbling during high-temperature processing.
Abstract:
A moistureproof paper having shading, moistureproof, waterproof and heat sealing properties and a good recyclability when it is reused as waste paper. A moistureproof layer (3) having dissociation, recycling and heat sealing properties is provided on the surface of a coating base paper (1) provided with a shading layer (2), which comprises a shading agent containing graphite, a colored pigment and a white pigment as a main component and has a hue having a psychometric lightness L* of 25 to 70, to provide a moistureproof paper having a shading property and recyclabitity.
Abstract:
A tape feeding apparatus capable of feeding a tape laminate made by superposing a first tape (4) having a first chemical material layer on one side and a second tape (5) having a second chemical material layer on one side reacting with the first chemical material with the layers in contact with each other. When the chemical reaction occurs between them, the second chemical material layer exhibits an indication which is visually recognized. Rollers (31 and 32) press the first tape (4) drawn out from a first reel (1) and the second tape (5) drawn out from a second reel (2) so that the first and second chemical material layers come into mutual contact, and form the tape laminate (6).
Abstract:
A stabilized electrocoagulation printing ink comprises a liquid colloidal dispersion containing an electrolytically coagulable collloid, a dispersing medium, a soluble electrolyte, a coloring agent and a sequestring agent for complexing metal ions generated during electrocoagulation printing. The sequestring agent is present in an amount to prevent the metal ions from causing the colloid to undergo undesirable cross-linking, without adversely affecting electrocoagulation of the colloid.
Abstract:
A reactive microgel prepared by the reaction of fine microgel particles (A) prepared by the emulsion polymerization of an alpha , beta -ethylenically unsaturated compound in the presence of a carboxylated compound as the emulsifying agent with an epoxy compound (B) having at least one alpha , beta -ethylenically unsaturated double bond; a photosensitive resin composition comprising the microgel, an alpha , beta -ethylenically unsaturated compound and a rubber or a thermoplastic elastomer; and a flexographic plate material made from the composition and developable with water alone.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a pigment from a 2,9-dimethylquinacridone compound which comprises throwing a solution of a crude 2,9-dimethylquinacridone compound in sulfuric acid into the flow of water to yield fine precipitates, separating the precipitates by filtration, washing the same with water, adding the washed precipitates to a C1 to C4 lower alcohol, and heating the same to 60 to 200 °C.
Abstract:
A photosensitive resin composition particularly suitable for preparing a flexographic original plate, comprising (1) a photosensitive microgel prepared by the reaction of fine microgel particles, prepared by the emulsion polymerization of an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated compound in the presence of an emulsifying agent comprising a tertiary ammonium salt compound, with a compound having an epoxy group which reacts with a tertiary ammonium salt and at least one ethylenically unsaturated double bond in its molecule, (2) an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated compound, and (3) a rubber or a thermoplastic elastomer.
Abstract:
A flatbed press having a bed (4) which includes an ink roller (7) and a blanket (5) and which is moved on a press body frame (1) provided with an ink arrangement (3) at at least one end thereof, characterized in that said frame (1) is provided therein with a paper feed head (21) having a table (10) on which materials (12) to be printed are placed, and a sucker (22) adapted to retain the material (12), and a transfer means (23) adapted to move the head (21) and carry the material (12) which is held by the sucker (22) to a paper setting plate (9).
