Abstract: A hand held liquid applicator suitable for the application of a liquid to a substrate by a user, the hand held liquid applicator consisting of a roller, a carrier and a liquid supply line, the carrier characterised by enabling the liquid to be supplied via the supply line to the roller for application to the substrate by direct contact whilst being hand held by the user when the user is standing or walking with a predominantly upright posture upon the substrate and a method of treating plants and insects with a liquid applied with a hand held liquid applicator as described.
