The system also includes a user interface, a controller coupled to the actuator and the user interface, a first sensor coupled to the controller and configured to provide first data indicating the presence of a fire, and a second sensor coupled to the controller and configured to provide second data indicating an internal characteristic of the controller. The controller is configured to identify an event base on the first or second data, control the actuator if the event is a fire, control the user interface to provide a notification if the event is a fault, and record second data to a storage device.

The at least one bearing is between the at least one first opening and the at least one second opening to engage the at least one first opening and the at least one second opening such that a torque applied to the first member to cause the first member to rotate about the axis relative to the second member causes the second member to rotate with the first member responsive to the torque being less than a target torque of rotation of a sprinkler.

Abstract: A sprinkler accelerator includes at least one accelerator opening, a vent, an actuator, an orifice, and a filter. The at least one accelerator opening couples with at least one pipe. The at least one pipe is coupled with at least one sprinkler. A gas including at least one of air and nitrogen is in the at least one pipe. The actuator moves, responsive to a rate of change of a first pressure applied by gas in the at least one accelerator opening satisfying a pressure rate threshold, to couple the at least one accelerator opening with the vent. The orifice is coupled with the at least one pipe to adjust the rate of change of the first pressure responsive to the at least one sprinkler changing to an open state. The filter is coupled with the orifice to filter fluid passing from the at least one pipe through the orifice.

Wet sprinkler systems containing the antifreeze, methods of controlling a fire using the antifreeze and methods of preventing a wet sprinkler system from freezing are also provided.
