Abstract:
Presented is a multi parameter automated luminaire comprised of a plurality of light engine modules a plurality of which by design homogenize light emitted by its light sources more fully than at least one of the light engine modules which is intentionally designed to noticeably not fully homogenize the light emitted by its light sources. In the preferred embodiment the non homogenizing light engine module also includes light modulator(s) optionally engagable to more fully homogenize the light output from that light engine module.
Abstract:
Described are an improved automated luminaire 12 and luminaire systems 10 employing an automated scrim mechanism for an automated luminaire which provides adjustable and selective intensity control across a light beam.
Abstract:
Described is dynamic control of the temperature of the envelope of an HID lamp (30) in order to stabilize the output color temperature of the lamp. As the lamp power is changed, or environmental factors alter the lamp envelope temperature, the system senses these changes and adjusts the lamp cooling systems (42a, 42b) so as to move the lamp envelope temperature back to the desired point.
Abstract:
This specification describes an improved automated luminaire employing an improved laser optical module with a laser module and an optical module, which expands the width of the laser light beam emitted from the laser module.
Abstract:
Described is a method for controlling the dimming of LED devices in luminaires, specifically to a system and method to address color point shift while dimming a mixed set of LEDs by modifying the dim curve of LEDs of one color relative to the other colors.
Abstract:
Described is a motion control system for drive motors in automated multiparameter luminaires which employs jerk (3rd derivative of position as a function of time) to offset the resonance characteristics of the motor as loaded by the components in the luminaire so as to correct and mitigate movement caused by external vibration sources.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an LED light source automated luminaire with a multi sided elongated light collimator/mixer/integrator with receiving lens and output lens both with spill shields and where the receiving spill shield is nesting in the output spill shield. The elongated integrator has a square input cross-section and a hexagon or octagon output cross section and is tapered so that the input cross section is smaller than the output cross section.
Abstract:
Described is a dynamic correction of keystone distortions of a dynamically panning and tilting luminaire projecting on a flat projection surface. When the luminaire is panned and/or tilted the proper degree of keystone correction is applied. Further the system dynamically corrects for varying of intensity of different parts of the projected image due to the none linear distribution of light on the projection surface as the luminaire is dynamically panned and or tilted relative to the projection surface.
Abstract:
An automated luminaire with an array of light sources (40) configured in a plurality of primary TIR optics (24) with central light blocks (26). The light blocks are configured to block or redirect light beam at angles likely to cause undesirable light spill.
