Abstract:
A light unit for general purpose or decorative lighting having a directional light source, a light transmissive optic arranged to direct light from the light source and a plurality of reflectors arranged to receive light from the optic and/or light source and at least partially a reflect portion of the light in a predetermined distribution pattern, the optic being further arranged to mechanically couple together the light source and reflectors to hold the light source, optic and reflectors in a predetermined spatial relationship.
Abstract:
A decorative light bar accessory having a three-sided frame of two frame sides and a frame middle segment, each of the frame sides and the frame middle segment having a frame top and a frame back, the frame sides being attached to the frame middle segment at approximately right angles and having a free frame end, each frame top having a plurality of spaced apart holes, the holes sized to accommodate hooks for decorations that are suspended therefrom, and the free frame ends being adapted to suspend the decorative light bar accessory over a light bar. A light bar accessory kit includes packaging with instructions; the light bar accessory; and decorative elements to be disposed on the accessory. This unique system allows consumer to affordably upgrade an existing light systems to newer and more appealing appearances, increasing the desirability of the home and realty.
Abstract:
An environmentally protected switch and water activated device using the switch is disclosed. The switch comprises an elongate housing having an open end and divided into a pair of chambers and into which a probe is inserted. When water infiltrates the housing an electrical circuit is completed between the two probes. There is also disclosed a lens/selector assembly comprising a selector ring encircling a lens and a wave spring which biases the selector ring into one of a number of predetermined positions around the lens. Illustratively, a magnet is placed within the selector ring a position of which can be detected by electronics within the lens.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A device for a light source (1) comprising a mounting bracket (3) and a light member holder (10) structured in a manner allowing it to be fixed to the mounting bracket (3), wherein the light member holder (10) is movably fixed to the mounting bracket (3). A method of mounting the light source (1) is also described.
Abstract:
A mechanical interface for a glass bulb is provided. The mechanical interface includes a connector and an optical mount. The connector is in contact with the glass bulb. The connector may be a separate component attached to the glass bulb, or may be a continuous part of the glass bulb, such that the connector is itself made of glass. The optical mount is configured to receive the connector. In so receiving, the optical mount operatively couples with the connector so as to secure the glass bulb in a position. The optical mount is also configured to attach to a lamp housing. A solid state light source retrofit lamp may thus be formed of a lamp housing including a solid state light source light engine and its required components, a glass bulb, and a mechanical interface for the glass bulb.
