    Abstract: The invention relates to a preferably repulpable container based essentially on cellulosic material comprising a sidewall enclosure having a top and bottom portion with an opening at said top portion and a bottom closure attached to said bottom portion, at least the inner side wall of said side wall enclosure being formed from a preferably repulpable and recyclable laminate based essentially on cellulosic material comprising a paper based layer as layer a), a tie layer b) based on an at least repulpable and preferably water soluble adhesive covering one surface of layer a) with the exception of one of the edge portions of layer b) at a side seam region, which edge portion is based at least partially on a moisture barrier adhesive, and as layer c) adjacent to layer b) a moisture resistant liner paper impregnated with a hydrophobing, at least repulpable agent, wherein the overlapping opposite edge portions of said laminate being joined together at said side seam region in such way that the laminate's edge portion comprising the part of the tie layer b) being based at least partially on a moisture barrier adhesive is the inside part of the side seam.
