Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a base station includes receiving a channel state information (CSI) payload at a neural network CSI decoder. The method also includes decoding the CSI payload to generate a quantity (N) of precoding vectors for N transmission layers. The method further includes orthogonalizing the N precoding vectors to generate N orthogonal precoding vectors. The method still further includes transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), downlink data that is precoded in accordance with the N orthogonal precoding vectors.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE), includes receiving, from a base station, a reference signal (RS) on a set of resource elements (REs), the RS having been multiplexed onto the set of REs based on a non-orthogonal cover code, and a number of REs in the set of REs being less than a number of ports associated with the RS. The method further includes estimating, at the UE via a channel estimation neural network, a channel based on receiving the RS. The method still further includes transmitting, to the base station, a feedback report associated with the estimated channel based on receiving the RS.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling indicating a quasi co-location (QCL) configuration associated with multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) communications within a distance threshold from the base station. In some cases, the UE may receive, from the base station, an indication of a downlink transmission associated with the QCL configuration within the distance threshold. The UE may select a beam to receive the downlink transmission within the distance threshold based on the QCL configuration. In some cases, the UE may receive multiple repetitions of the downlink transmission using corresponding antenna combining weight configurations, and the UE may determine a beam weight configuration for the beam to receive the downlink transmission based on receiving the multiple repetitions of the downlink transmission.

A receiving device may receive, from a transmitting device, a configuration indicating a set of orbital angular momentum modes for joint reporting, where at least one of the set of orbital angular momentum modes is associated with transmission via two or more of a plurality of sets of antennas arranged in a set of concentric circular arrays. The receiving device may transmit, to the transmitting device, areport indicating precoding information for each of at least a subset of the set of orbital angular momentum modes, where the precoding information includes one or more first parameters common to the set of orbital angular momentum modes and one or more second parameters for respective ones of the at least the subset of the set of orbital angular momentum modes.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to the generation of channel state reports. A base station transmits a reference signal over a plurality of ports. A user equipment (UE) receives the reference signal and measure amplitudes of the reference signal over a plurality of ports. A first subgroup of the plurality of ports and a second subgroup of the plurality of ports are determined. In embodiments, the port groupings may be determined by the base station, which transmits an identification of the groupings to the user equipment. Alternatively, the UE may determine the port groupings. After determining the port groupings, the UE separately quantizes and normalizes the measured amplitude values in each port grouping. The UE may also separately quantize and normalize the phase measurements in each port groups. The UE generates a channel state report based on the normalized and quantized amplitude and phase values.

The UE may determine to disable feedback information for the data transmission based at least in part on the rateless coding scheme and one or more of: the DCI, a resource associated with the DCI, or a semi-persistent scheduling configuration associated with the data transmission. The UE may perform or monitor for the data transmission according to the DCI and the rateless coding scheme. The UE may perform or monitor for the feedback information for the data transmission according to the determining.
